  • A couple of people raised the issue of Data Protection with regard to publishing photos/videos of the public at events.

    From what Lawrie said in the final seminar, Web 2 and the Law, the key is that fair processing of the data (the photo/video) needs to take place. In other words, they probably do not need to give their explicit consent, but they need to have been informed of what is going on - you are taking photos to publish online.

    Obviously if anyone says they do not want be a part of that, you must remove photos/video of them and stop shooting them!
