This document outlines a lesson plan for teaching students about the five senses. The lesson will be taught to a class of 21 first grade students over four class periods. A variety of teaching methods and materials will be used, including a computer, projector, and WebQuest. The objective is for students to learn and understand the five senses with 100% accuracy. On the final day, students will complete an interactive WebQuest to reinforce their knowledge of the five senses. Their understanding will be evaluated using a grading guide within the WebQuest.

periods. In addition, the students will learn how each
sense is used in everyday life and why it is important.
Students will use varied types of technology such as
computers, projectors, and WebQuests.

0 The available materials that will be used on Friday
include the computer and the projector.

students’ chairs allow an easy view of the projection.

use this day to cover all the topics and material one
last time through the use of a WebQuest which is
dedicated solely to the Five Senses.

hand
0 The teacher will need to bring the WebQuest up on
the computer and go through it tab by tab following
the step-by-step instructions.

Participation
0 Once the WebQuest is complete, the teacher needs to
answer any final questions on the topic and conclude
it enthusiastically.

0 The students will be solely evaluated by the guide
located in the WebQuest. It was specifically made for
this assignment in grading.
