Transcript

  • 1. • The scene begins with a close up shot of the hospital sign, the sign says ‘A criminally disordered retention facility’. The sign along with a crane shot used to show the fencing and barbed wire connotes to the audience that those who are detained here are very dangerous.
  • 2. • Using my example you will now analyse the rest of the sequence. The sequence will play on a loop, so you can watch it as many times as needed (if you want me to pause I can, and don’t be scared to ask questions)• Stick the pictures in your book and write your analysis next to the relevant ones as we have done with the example
  • 3. • You don’t have every shot just significant ones, so you have to think about what you see and hear before and after the shots that are pictured• Underline key words and terminology, remember you need to write about how the MEDIA LANGUAGE works to REPRESENT Sarah• Camerawork• Sound• Editing (only a little bit)• Mise-en-scene
