Back to Basics Rubber Stamping Techniques and Tips Lesson 7

2. Sticker Background Technique™ Placing double-sided adhesive carefully on the paper is the hardest part of this technique. Line up one side and roll to the other. It is not at all repositionable. For this reason, using a separate layer is often better because you can trim it later. OUCH! I accidentally set my sheet of stickers down for a second ON THE ADHESIVE! Ok, this isn’t going anywhere. Be careful once the adhesive is uncovered. Apply stickers to double-sided adhesive carefully. Rub glitter or flocking into adhesive thoroughly so that you get maximum coverage.
3. Velvet Jumbo Bats Card These beautiful Jumbo Bat Class A’Peel™ Stickers are a Luxurious Black Velvet. They blend well with the Orange Fuzzy Fun Flock and contrast with the Mirror Black Spooky Words. All of these products are available at: www.stampendous.com and are shipped by a local retailer for quick delivery.

6. Velvet Jumbo Bats Card Apply the Peel N Stick adhesive sheet to the 3” X 5 ½” orange panel. Carefully peel the backing off of one side, position one long edge carefully, lower the sheet to center on the orange panel. Leave the top backing sheet on until ready to apply the stickers. Glue the orange panel to the front of a folded black card base.
7. Velvet Jumbo Bats Card Remove the top backing sheet and carefully place the Jumbo Bat stickers on the adhesive sheet. The bats can overlap the edges on to the surrounding orange and black layers.
8. Velvet Jumbo Bats Card Dump a generous amount of Fuzzy Fun Flock on to the adhesive area. Rub the flock in carefully with your finger to achieve maximum coverage. Return excess Fun Flock to jar.
9. Velvet Jumbo Bats Card You can use a stiff brush to remove excess flock or any flock that sticks to the velvet stickers. Apply the Spooky Words to the tiny panel of orange. A craft knife can really help when positioning smaller stickers. Add a spiral clip with a bit of ribbon and adhere to card front with dimensional foam adhesive.
10. Velvet Jumbo Bats Card Use more Spooky Words and additional Jumbo Bats to make an orange panel for the inside of the card. A spooktacular Halloween greeting that’s fuzzy and fun!

14. Scrollwork Ornaments Card Peel one side of Peel N Stick Adhesive sheet carefully. Align one long edge with same sized card and ease into position.
15. Scrollwork Ornaments Card Use a craft knife to assist in peeling off the top liner from the Peel N Stick. Use a craft knife to handle ornament stickers so you can position them carefully the first time!
16. Scrollwork Ornaments Card Position large ornaments first. Then apply Dot Sparkler Chains using craft knife.
17. Scrollwork Ornaments Card Cut off excess chain at the top of the card. Apply bows to the tops of the ornaments. Be careful, the whole sheet is really sticky
18. Scrollwork Ornaments Card Pour a generous amount of glitter over entire adhesive sheet. Use your finger to rub glitter into adhesive for good coverage. Remove excess glitter with a brush and return all extra glitter to the jar for the next project.
19. Scrollwork Ornaments Card Apply completed panel to silver panel, then layer on top of folded red card. Use a craft knife to apply greeting to bottom of card front.
20. Scrollwork Ornaments Card A beautiful, glittery greeting to send for Christmas. People will especially love that the glitter is so firmly adhered to this card. It won’t get all over their house or their cat. Check out many more amazing Sticker Background Technique cards at www.youtube.com/stampendous. Or on our website at: www.stampendous.com
