2. L;IWU1col Assistant Director for Career Development The Hart Career Center at Illinois Wesleyan
University invites applications for an Assistant Director for Career Development starting August 1,
10 month full-time position. Responsibilities include providing career counseling to students and
alumni, assisting students with all aspects of the career planning process including resume
development, internship/job search, and graduate school application. Strong programming
component including seminars, classroom presentations, and outreach to student organizations.
Knowledge of career assessments and student development theory required. Collaborate with other
University departments, academic and student affairs to provide services to students. Master s
degree in Career Counseling, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, College Student Personnel or
related field required. Familiar with career assessments and knowledge of student development
theory and at least two years of experience in higher education. Demonstrated ability to present
engaging programs. Some evening and weekend work is required. Preference will be given to
candidates with three to five years of career services experience, prior experience working with a
diverse student population and experience developing, conducting, and analyzing outcome
