2. Apricot
Blossom
It is by Ma
Yuan, a Chinese
Painter, painted
this from a
memory since
the blossom lives
for a short
period.
“They greet the wind with artful charm;/Boasting
pink beauty moist with dew.”
3. It was around the early 13th century that this lyric
painting was made. The poetry that is within the
painting is by Empress Yang.
The blooming picture of the apricot blossom is
magnificently beautiful. The way Ma Yuan drew
irregular lines of the branches but where flowing
very nicely. Because since the branches are a little
rough and bumpy in the real flower.
Especially the flower petals, are drawn nicely
rounded and painted lightly with a soft pink.
4. Moon
Orchid
The scientific name
for this flower is
Phalaenopsis
Amabilis. Similar
to the apricot
blossom in the way
that the flowers are
all bundled
together when they
grow.
Origin of this
flower is Indonesia
(just like the
Apricot), but can
be found anywhere.
Like when I found
it growing out of a
tree in Brazil.
5. Nature itself is an artwork, with all of the
different and unique colors and shapes that is
naturally grown from mother earth.
Many paintings were inspired by nature and
some artist can manipulate in how it originally
look like and have a meaning to it.
Ma Yuan took time in his artwork, which ink
wash painting is pretty difficult and needs skill
in order to achieve it.
6. The two are such beauty of
which nature has given us.
