รายงานการเฝ้าระวังโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนาสายพนธั ุ์ใหม่ 2012 (MERS-CoV) ประเทศไทย พ.ศ. 2557 ณ วันที่ 18 พฤษภาคม 2557 1. การเฝ้าระวงผั ู้ป่วยในประเทศไทย ตั้งแต่วันที่ 20 เมษายน – 18 พฤษภาคม 2557 สํานักระบาดวิทยา ได้รับแจ้งผู้ป่วยเข้าข่ายเฝ้าระวังโรคติดเชื้อ ไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ 2012 ทั้งหมด 18 ราย จาก 7 จังหวัด และมี 1 รายมาจากประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ในสัปดาห์ที่ ผ่านมา (12-18 พฤษภาคม 2557) ได้รับแจ้งผู้ป่วยเข้าข่ายเฝ้าระวังโรคติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ 2012 รวม 1 ราย จากจังหวัดสตูล มีประวัติเดินทางไปประเทศซาอุดิอาระเบียเพื่อประกอบพิธีอุมเราะห์ ในช่วง 14 วันก่อนเริ่มป่วย องค์การอนามัยโลก (WHO: Wolrd Health Organization) รายงานพบผู้ป่วยยืนยันการติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรน่า สายพันธุ์ใหม่ 2012 ณ วันที่ 16 พฤษภาคม 2557 รวมแล้วผู้ป่วย 614 ราย เสียชีวิต 181 ราย โดยพบรายงานผู้ป่วยทั้งหมด จาก 19 ประเทศ ดังนี้ จอร์แดน ซาอุดิอาระเบีย กาตาร์ อังกฤษ สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ ฝรั่งเศส ตูนีเซีย เยอรมนี อิตาลี โอมาน คูเวต มาเลเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ กรีซ อียิปต์ สหรัฐอเมริกา เยเมน ศูนย์ป้องกันและควบคุมโรคของยุโรป (ECDC: European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control)รายงานพบผู้ป่วยยืนยันการติดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรน่า สายพันธุ์ใหม่ 2012 ณ วันที่ 16 พฤษภาคม 2557 รวมแล้ว ผู้ป่วย 621 ราย เสียชีวิต 188 ราย
