PERSONAL STATEMENT
My career as an apprentice started within the automotive industry, manufacturing vehicle exhausts in Tredegar. I was
part of a team who introduced robotic welding into the production processes and eventually held the position of cost
estimator for the company before moving to TRW, a world leader for the design and manufacture of steering systems for
the main vehicle manufactures such as Ford, Nissan, Volvo, Land Rover etc. During my time at TRW I achieved my 2 &
3D design drafting qualifications (Pro-Engineer and Cad), alongside the Microsoft office platform of Word, Excel,
Outlook, PowerPoint and Project. I also qualified for the NVQ Mechanical Design Level 4.
My career would have continued within TRW if I had chosen to re-locate to Germany, but my decision was, to stay
within South Wales, which enabled me to continue with my personal goals of Design, Build and Project management of
domestic self builds, extensions and major/minor renovations projects. Although, this achievement has been part time,
my communication experience between the public, planners and the interpretation of planning laws has proven to be
successful with several builds and renovations completed to-date.
I am currently working as a Project Delivery Manager for a mechanical/electrical utility contractor named Aquazone Ltd.
During the project management of various schemes (see below) for Aquazone, I have worked closely with many key
personnel at DCWW and used excellent communication and understanding of the scope of works to achieve the final
outcomes, many people within DCWW would endorse my work ethics.
