9. Establish & Maintain Identity
• New Oak Identity
• Personally I feel an identity is already well established - Maintain and embed it further
within the club
• ALL squads within ONE club is aiming for the SAME goal
• Teams coming through the age groups both boys and girls work to the same philosophy
• Stands to reason we do something like this together as a club to establish that philosophy
• Too many clubs that have clubs within clubs – left hand is doing one thing and the right
another.
• I hope to be able to come in and help communicate and establish a single minded footballing
mentality – easy transition through age groups
10. One Club, One Goal
• Embarrassed to introduce myself as I did earlier on
• At the same time I don’t want you to think who this boy like?.....
• We are all coaches in this room!!
• I am the same as you!! – different ideas – different philosophies
• Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola, Me, You - always still learning and adapting to each other
• Biggest Frustration as a Coach? (regarding the actual coaching practice)
• To be able to broadcast ideas and to communicate them to my players
• With this workshop we hope to change that
• KS&YC (UEFA B) set you free
• Give a coach the platform and skill set to implement and communicate ideas and philosophies.
11. One Club, One Goal
KS&YC are powerful tools!
• Attempt to Cement Our Identity
• KS & YC progressions and philosophies to implement our goal and identity here.
• Through this you can then adapt it to your own needs and philosophies.
• Irish Soccer has suffered for too long now
• Personally I think it should be a requirement for clubs to do this
• Many already do especially in Dublin
• New Oak can set a bench mark in Carlow
