Delivered projects to Part L Building Regulations and BREEAM compliance.
Produced M&E schematic drawings, layout plans, conceptual designs, and detailed engineering
drawings for clients and contractors using AutoCAD and Revit BIM.
Conduct comprehensive clash detection modelling.
Conduct appropriate selection of plant equipment including Boilers, Radiators, Mechanical
Ventilation and Heat Recovery (MVHR) Units, and Fan Coil Units (FCUs).
Deliver safe, energy efficient and low carbon design solutions.
Supporting detailed designs with appropriate mechanical design calculations, using Cymap
Mechanical to determine building heat losses, heat gains, and coordinate the sizing of pipework,
and ductwork.
Princess Yachts International plc. Jul. 2014 – Jul. 2015
Job Role: CAD Designer
Worked as part of a development team involving sixty employees. Working closely with cross-functional
teams including the in-house Design, CAD, Engineering, Naval Architecture, and Compliance departments
on the development of new luxury motor yachts ranging from 12 to 40 meters.
Designed HVAC systems to Cruisair specifications and in-house design standards.
Delivered projects to strict production deadlines and stringent manufacturing penalty clauses.
Working with Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Software to engage in all aspects of
design, including, product lifecycles, and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA).
Involved in a Concurrent Engineering process (design, manufacture, and assembly run in parallel
or simultaneously), which required problem solving, teamwork, and efficient communication.
Worked as part of an Agile/Lean methodology, to improve flexibility through Re-Use CAD
modelling, and minimise waste by resolving problems at the design stage.
Responsible for liaising with purchasing teams, production control, and creating Bill of Materials
