Main projects:
QATAR Petroleum Company (QATAR):
I participated in building the simulation models for their NGL Plants using HYSYS.
The models were prepared based on the Process Flow Diagram (PFDs), the Piping and
Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID’s) and the Plant Performance Data provided by QP.
The objective of the project was to provide Qatar Petroleum with a steady state and
dynamic model for their four NGL plants. This model should be identical to the NGL
complex which is a gas processing facility that utilizes different gas feeds to produce
treated products like Methane, Ethane, Propane, Butane, light pentane, Gasoline and
Sulphur.
Transient Flow Analysis for the Upgrade of the Safaniyah Water Disposal System
Project (Saudi Arabia)
I participated in building the simulation models, analyzing the result, reporting the
outputs for the Upgrade of the Safaniyah Water Disposal System Project (Saudi
Arabia) using OLGA .The models were prepared based on the pipeline profile and the
pipeline performance data provided by ENPPI / ARAMCO to investigate whether
hydrodynamic slugging occurs for normal operation, production rate changes and
pigging operations.
Steady State: The entire pipeline network was simulated for steady-state flow
conditions. Different flow rates were implemented, Slug analysis was carried out.
Transient Surge Analysis: Using the desired production rate the entire pipeline
network was simulated for steady state conditions (start values for transient analysis).
Then, surge analysis was carried out by shutting down downstream valve in a certain
period of time, and then the pipeline was left to equilibrate followed by startup of the
production.
Transient Flow Analysis for the Wet Gas Pipeline of the AL Shaheen Facilities
(Qatar)
I was responsible for building the simulation models for pipeline taking the production
from satellite platform to the 3-phase inlet separator of centralized processing platform;
it is 18’’ multiphase pipeline includes down comer & riser and few low points
(pockets).
5. The objective of this study was:
To analyze the pipeline flow for the operating conditions and estimate the steady state
characteristics of the system.
To scrap the pipeline and estimate the liquid amount accumulated at the end of the
pipeline; furthermore, the highest pressure induced upstream during pigging and the
flow rate that will render the operation feasible are sought.

new software they owned newly so they get a good idea about the software and help me
in finishing this project.
The maximum sustainable capacity (MSC) will be achieved through implementation of
FDP phase-1 Oil and Gas facilities that involves offshore installation of two flow
