  • dear Mr. Michael,
I've found that all of your presentations is very good about lighting (about 8 presentations to date). Could you please send all of the files to boosterhidrogen@gmail.com , because I want to use as a reference of my undergraduate thesis.
    thank you

  1. 1. SAUDI ARAMCO INDUSTRIAL LIGHTING USING DIALUX 4.11 Indoor, Emergency, Outdoor & Security Lighting Applications based on SAES-P-123 Engr. Michael T. Santiago | REE.AILP.MIES DIALux Accredited Trainer, ID 2013029 Supervisor, Lighting Applications Design Department Day One – Indoor & Emergency Lighting 3rd day of March, 2014 SNC Lavalin Fayez Engineering Office Auto Moto Complex, Al-Khobar, KSA
  2. 2. INTRODUCTION Saudi Aramco, a fully integrated, global petroleum and chemicals enterprise, is the state-owned oil company of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Through our 80-year history we have become a world leader in hydrocarbons exploration, production, refining, distribution, shipping and marketing, and the world’s top exporter of crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). COURSE DEFINITION: A two day seminar & hands-on training for engineering design employees of SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering for the application of SAES-P-123 (Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards) in indoor, emergency, outdoor & security lighting of Saudi Aramco Industrial Projects with the use of DIALux 4.11 as the lighting calculation software. SAUDI ARAMCO INDUSTRIAL LIGHTING| Day One - Indoor & Emergency Applications
  4. 4. 1. To refresh participants with the design recommendations according to SAES P-123, IESNA and NFPA 70 2. To apply the design recommendations using SLC Products in future Saudi ARAMCO Substation Projects 3. To build a strong foundation where participant can design, calculate and estimate lighting for any given task, room or area in a ARAMCO substation project. OBJECTIVES SAUDI ARAMCO INDUSTRIAL LIGHTING| Day One - Indoor & Emergency Applications
  5. 5. 1. Adherence to Standards ~ NFPA ~ IESNA ~ OTHER SAUDI REGIONS 2. All Indoor Lighting will be calculated without effect of obstructions/objects but if future projects will provide a detailed furniture/equipment/cable tray/HVAC ducts layout, they should be included in the planning and calculation 3. DIALux, a leading lighting planning/calculation/rendering software from Germany will be used for evaluation and print output CONSIDERATIONS SAUDI ARAMCO INDUSTRIAL LIGHTING| Day One - Indoor & Emergency Applications
  6. 6. (BIDDING) – SLC Gives Technical Offer – {We start here} (PRICING) – Requests to Verify Quantity - {Procurement} (REVISION) – Changes due to updated CAD layouts – {Design} {AS-BUILT} - Changes due to actual equipment, cable tray, HVAC ducting installations – {Site} {COMMISSIONING} – Possible issues arising after materials are supplied or lux levels are tested {Site} We would appreciate a request containing all relevant, detailed and updated information so we can minimize design rebounds. 9. 9. DIALUX LIGHT (BLUE ICON) SAUDI ARAMCO INDUSTRIAL LIGHTING| Day One - Indoor & Emergency Applications DIALux Light Wizard has been available since DIALux version 3.1. With the help of this wizard it is possible to complete lighting designs quickly and simply. This means that infrequent users of DIALux can readily use the program without having to train themselves fully in using the software.
