crowd vs community vs network http://www.crowdsourcing.org/document/community-sourcing-vs-crowdsourcing/4255 Success criteria for crowdsourcing projects of course depends on the type of project and what the aims are and thus how the institute defines success criteria. In the case of our video tagging game WaisdA?, a large amount of tags was a success criterium. For a project like Transcribe Benthams this can be the amount of documents fully described, for the Great War Archive the amount of contributed objects (among many other things of course). The results of crowdsourcing projects are now becoming a base for difining success criterua, as oppossed to the ‘ we ’ ll see what happens ’ attitude of many pioneering projects. Other success criterua can be expanding your audience, reaching more target groups, number of active participants etc.
