2. 1)What gender are you? I have asked a mixture of people from of genders. However I did ask more males as I thought this would be more useful to me as I could see if they have the same tastes and preferences in music as I do as they may be my target audience.
3. 2)What age group are you in? I have asked a range of people from all age groups as I wanted to get a wide knowledge of peoples preferences on music videos. However the more older age groupsโ information will not be any use to me for the production of my music video as I my target audience is more likely to be younger generations due to the song I choose.
4. 3)Do you watch music videos? This chart shows the majority of people I asked watch music videos. Those who donโt watch music still however listen to music either by radio, phone or iPod.
5. 4)How do you watch music videos? My chart results show a lot of the people I asked watch music videos on TV. This is because there is so many available on satellite TV and they are easy to access for people. People also watch music videos on the internet at sites such as YouTube. Also people are watching music videos on the go when they are out due to the technology available like the iPhone.
6. 5)How often do you watch music videos? Many people cannot go without music for a few days as my results show. Many people listen to music when they are doing housework, when they are getting ready they may put on a music video.
7. 6)Do you prefer humorous music videos or videos with a meaning? Why? The majority of people I asked prefer music videos with a meaning. The reasons for this is that it makes the story of the video easier to follow and also people can relate the meaning of some music videos to their own life.
8. 7)What is your favourite genre of music? This graph of results shows just how wide the range of people I asked was when it comes to the preferred genre of music. There was a great range of genres from pop, rock, classical and rap.
9. 8)Do you prefer dance videos or videos which tell a story throughout? The majority of the people I asked preferred music videos to follow a narrative story. The results from this question are similar and can be related to question number 7.
10. 9)What do you like a music video to contain? My results for this question contained various answers. A few of these were plenty of movement of performers and/or camera, celebrities which people look up to and also audio edits. I think these were popular because they all keep the audience interested which is essential for success of a music video.
11. 10)Do you like music videos which have special effects/edits? Many people like music videos to contain special effects/edits. I think this is for the purpose that they keep the audience interested throughout the whole video.
