this refers to a worldwide collection of computer networks that are linked


Data storage:
The internet can be used to store various kinds of data including audio files, video
files, text files and application files. This can be done freely or at a cost
depending on the data storage service host or provider. Examples include
Google docs. Which is provided by Google.

applications which may include records storage and security
applications. This therefore helps in maintaining records security
and up to date software applications thus meeting records
management objectives.


receive instant messages and thus speedy and cheap
communication and information dissemination.

Video conferencing: This can be an important platform for
holding online meetings. This therefore saves time which would
have been spent by everyone to travel from wherever they are for
a meeting and is also cost saving.

Online discussions: The internet also provides various platforms
for holding discussions, these majorly include forums and blogs.

News forums: Via the internet, one is able to receive news from
wherever in the world and thus always stay updated.
