20. Minor Accidents Continued… If OUPD sends an ambulance: 1. Cashier immediately contacts the Assistant Director of Facilities with name and ID number of the student/member and injury description 2. If the Assistant Director of Facilities (Bruce) cannot be reached, cashier should contact the IM Assistant Director (Gary). 3. Member, witnesses, and Supervisor sign Accident Form 4. Supervisor turns in completed form to Coordinator for approval Remember: Your radio is available to you for quick access to help!

All staff involved will continue necessary care for accident victim until they release care to OUPD and/or Paramedics. Remember: Emergency procedures have priority over all other duties. Cashier - Bomb Threat Check List: top shelf of form file Professional staff - notify OUPD and Vice President Cashier - roll bank and drop shield exit through entry doors ID Desk – clear members from the track and activity rooms Basketball – clear member from gyms S1-S4 and N1-N4 and racquetball courts Weight Room – clear members from weight room and cardio room. If it is safe help clear locker room area and exit through the north exits in the back of the locker rooms. Equipment Room – Drop shield and exit out safest equipment room door. Instruct members to clear the bridge, track, and activity rooms and exit through safest exit (north, south, east, west doors) All employees meet at the BLUE EMERGENCY PHONE to the NW of the Huston Huffman Ce nter.

25. Fire Notify Professional staff and supervisor immediately! Cashier- close front desk shield and lock the register. Clear members from cardio track and activity rooms Basketball – clear member from gyms S1-S4 and N1-N4 and racquetball courts Weight Room – clear members from weight room and cardio room. If it is safe help clear locker room area and exit through the north exits in the back of the locker rooms Equipment Room – Drop shield and exit out safest equipment room door Everyone -instruct members to take the closest, safest exit REMEMBER NEVER ENTER A SMOKE FILLED AREA. EXIT THROUGH DOORS THAT ARE VISIBLY SAFE AND COOL. All employees meet at the BLUE EMERGENCY PHONE to the NW of the Huston Huffman Center.

BLOOD SPILL KIT Blood Spill Kits should contain the following supplies: Bottle of FLASH Paper Towels Cloth Towels Latex/Vinyl Gloves Garbage Bags Contact the Facility Coordinator for replacement supplies. THE CONTENTS OF THIS BLOOD SPILL KIT ARE FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE HUSTON HUFFMAN CENTER STAFF

27. BLOOD SPILL PROCEDURES Control and confine contaminated area. Put on protective equipment (i.e. gloves) Cover the spill with FLASH then towels/paper towels Wipe up spill using towels/paper towels Place contaminated towels/paper towels in doubled trash bag. Ensure all contaminants have been cleaned up and disposed of before removing gloves and sealing garbage bags. Remember to remove gloves inside-out. Place trash bag of contaminants in garbage container located on the 1 st floor, maintenance workshop. Wash hands with soap and water. If you feel you have been contaminated by a Blood Borne Pathogen, notify the Facility Coordinator or Assistant Director of Facilities immediately.

41. I S tarted my academic career at the University in 1991. I have completed a bachelor's in chemistry and a master's in education. I have held many positions in Student Affairs including the Director for Residence Life, the Director for Housing and Food Services, and currently the Director for Recreational Services. Hobbies and Interests : working out, taking photographs, working in my gardens, and spending time with my family. Favorite thing about OU : "My favorite things about OU are the students and the community. Every day is new and a great opportunity to positively impact others' lives. Working in Recreational Services is a great way to do this. The department reaches out not only to educate, but to help students, faculty, and staff establish life-long habits." 48. How long at OU- I am currently in my eighth year as the Aquatics Coordinator at OU. Hobbies and Interests- working out, gardening, socializing with family and friends, sports of all kinds (I played softball and basketball in my younger years), history of the Titanic, and following all of Women’s Basketball. Favorite Thing about OU- The atmosphere and the beautiful campus. Hometown- Those who know and work with me would say my hometown is Noble, OK since I spent the majority of my early years there (Third through Twelve grades). I on the other hand would consider myself as having two hometowns-Noble and Norman. I actually lived and went to school in Noble (seven miles south of Norman) but went to church and youth group in Norman. I spent many weekends in Norman hanging out with my friends from our youth group. I have lived in Norman for the past sixteen years so I now consider Norman as my hometown. Favorite place to eat in Norman- It is hard to narrow down to just one so here are a few. I like Chili's for their chips and salsa and chocolate molten cake (not necessarily together), Olive Garden, La Luna's, Al's for their good french fries, and Charleston's for their baked potato soup. Favorite Accomplishment- To date would have to be the building of my new house. It was an exciting process and an even better outcome. I would recommend this process to anyone that was interested.

I worked at the Huffman Center as a student for 2 years, and now I am a part of the professional staff as an Intramural Sports Coordinator. My dream is to start an outdoor program at OU since we do not have one. Hobbies and Interests: I love to be outside, be it climbing, hiking, camping, fishing, or mountain biking. If it is outside, I love it. Favorite thing about OU: Riding my bike on campus when it is a nice, warm day and the sun is out. 56. Supervisors are not allowed behind the desk for any reason. Minor exceptions include running EQ at the cashier desk, opening and closing duties. If you, the Supervisor, have only one other employee, you run the cashier desk and EQ up front with the other employee on the floor. Check on delegated cleaning work regularly. Enforce the No Cell Phone Policy, STRICTLY. Birds eye view from up top and always be moving. Senior Supervisor will write up Positive Discipline forms as well as Positive Initiative Forms on you, the Supervisors.

What happens on your shift reflects you both positively and negatively as the Supervisor. Be responsible. Do not hinder yourself in any way before coming to work. (Alcohol, prescription drugs, lack of sleep, etc.) Be redundant. Cover every angle over and over. Ask yourself what you would do if ___________ happened? Know in advance of other Supervisors who can cover for you. Be accountable for your self, and make other Supervisors accountable as well. Help each other grow and educate, no need to point out each others flaws, help them learn.
