2. Problem statement:-
Harnessing non conventional energy resources is crucial in
todays world.
Most of the heat energy while cooking, combustion,
incineration etc is getting wasted .There needs to be a way to
reduce this excessive wastage of energy and harvest useful
forms of energy from it.
3. Solution:-
The excess heat energy can be converted into electrical energy,
there by it can be put into different uses.
4. Technology used:-
Pyroelectricity
It is the ability of certain materials to generate a temporary voltage when they are
heated or cooled.
Peltier effect
An effect whereby heat is given out or absorbed when an electric current passes
across a junction between two materials.
But when temperature difference is created then voltage is also generated.

• This is the peltier device which can
convert heat energy into electrical
energy.
• The hot side needs to get heat where
as on cold side we place heat sink
which absorbs heat.
• The current is taken from wires where
red wire is negative and black wire is
positive.
6. Advantages:-
Charging phone while cooking.
Glowing bulb when there is power cut in house.
Cooling fan(giving electricity to peltier divice) which can act as miniature air
conditioner.
