The AGORA programme (Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture), set up by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) together with major publishers, enables developing countries to gain access to an outstanding digital library collection in the fields of food, agriculture, environmental science and related social sciences. AGORA provides a collection of more than 5700 key journals and 4100 books to 2800 institutions in more than 100 countries. AGORA is designed to enhance the scholarship of the many thousands of students, faculty and researchers in agriculture and life sciences in the developing world. AGORA is one of the four programmes that make up Research4Life: AGORA, HINARI, OARE and ARDI.
The AGORA Basic Course (2015) is based on the AGORA Short Course, a collaborative effort of ITOCA and the Librarians Without Borders®/Medical Library Association (USA) ‘E-library Training Initiative’ that was funded by the Elsevier Foundation.

Scopus, launched in November 2004, is the largest abstract and citation database containing both peer-reviewed research literature and quality web sources. With over 18,000 titles from more than 5,000 international publishers, Scopus offers researchers a quick, easy and comprehensive resource to support their research needs in the scientific, technical, medical and social sciences fields and, more recently, also in the arts and humanities.
Being from a AGORA registered institution, and having logged into AGORA, you will be able to use this and the other resources in the Bibliographic Databases list.
Scopus features include a simple and intuitive interface, links to full-text articles and other library resources, Citation Tracker to simply find, check and track citations, Affiliation Identifier to automatically identify and match an organization with all its research output, Journal Analyzer provides a quick insight into journal performance, Alerts, RSS and HTML feeds to stay up-to-date, Document Download Manager to download and organize multiple full-text articles, and Data export via bibliographic managers such as RefWorks, EndNote and BibTeX.

This is an example when the Scopus link did not work properly. Remember that Scopus includes journals that are not available from AGORA or the link from Scopus to the publisher may not recognize that you have logged in to AGORA.

The best option to double-check for the full-text journals/articles from AGORA participating publishers is to save the Scopus citations and use the ‘Journals collection’ A-Z list. Remember that some of the other resources listed in the Scopus search are not journal articles. These documents can be accessed via the Internet by using the ‘View at Publisher’ icon.
