2. Issue: Sexual Harassment
Earlier this month, I had an employee report a case of Sexual
Harassment….about an employee I counted a friend.
3. The situation:
An employee came to me and
described an uncomfortable
conversation that occurred between
her and another one of my
employees.
It was quite clearly a case of sexual
harassment.
4. My company does not tolerate anything like this
Despite the employee who was reported being someone I considered a friend, I called the
Ethics Department to report the issue and sent emails about the situation to all the
managers who needed to be made aware.
5. Waiting
Knowing about the investigation
and not being able to talk to either
party was difficult.
Once the investigation was done
and people had been contacted, my
employee was upset I didn’t tell him.
Unfortunately I didn’t have a choice.
