Contents page text.
In this document I will be taking you through all of the text that I am
planning to use in my contents page for my magazine, “Indie-vidual”.

I thought before I take you through the text, I will explain the layout of my double
paged contents. On the right hand page, there will be a column for featured articles, a
large picture of a band and a competition at the bottom of the page.
For the features column, I am planning to use around 6 – 10 band names that will be
used as the main features for my magazine. Some of them will be fictional, others will
be real. Below is a list of these bands, their page numbers and whether they are real or
not.
Missing cat – Page 14 – Fictional.
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Page 23 – Real.
Stornoway – page 34 – Real.
The 1975 – Page 41 – Real.
Two Door Cinema Club – Page 45 – Real.
Glastonbury Times – Page 52 – Fictional.
The Jacobeans – Page 67 – Fictional
Don Broco – Pagge 70 – Real.
As well as including their names, I will also be writing a brief synopsis of their article.
For example:
14 – MISSING CAT
The UK’s newest comedy band talk to Indie-Vidual.
As for the competition at the bottom of the page, not too little, but not too much text will be
used. I am going to write a brief description of what there is to win for the readers and how
they can apply for it.
I would imagine that it would look a little something like this.
WIN BIG WITH THE FIRST OF OUR WEEKLEY COMPETITIONS!
If you think you have what it takes to win some of our brilliant prizes, then visit –
www.Indie-vidual.co.uk!
On the left hand page, I will use up to 4 pictures of various artists and bands – Including my
own! Text wise, I will be creating a column on the far left hand side of the page that is titled –
“Regulars”. This is the column that will include things that are used in every single issue of
the magazine.
Below is a list of the regulars and their page numbers.
Top 10 songs of the month – Page 10
Danny Lewis’ guitar tips – Page 15
The debate club – Page 26
Up and coming – Page 33
Concert and gig guide – Page 46

At the bottom of the page, I will have a subscription section, where information on the
subscription offers is written.
“SUBSCRIBE, DEBUT DEAL NOW ON”
“If you are an Indie fan and you crave the latest news from the Indie world, then
subscribe to Indie-vidual magazine whilst our Debut Deal is still on! 50% off
subscription fees if you apply before the release of Issue 4!”
