2. Most people agreed that they like
watching horror/mystery movies. This
helps me with my research as horror/
mystery is liked and it would be watched.
3. Although 36.36% of people who
took the survey answered that they
would rather watch a parody, a
large 63.64% of people answered
that they would rather watch a
horror/mystery. This is good as my
target audience would be for the
people who like and prefer to
watch horror/ genre.
4. (1) Acting
(2) Understandable Storyline
(3) Easy to identify the genre
(4) Correct lighting
(5) Camera movements
(6) Props, hair and makeup
(7) Character costume
Whilst making a movie trailer, it is
important to ensure the acting is good.
(However in the media coursework, acting
isn’t marked). My main focus would be to
make sure the storyline and genre is
understandable and to use correct lighting
and camera movements.
5. The majority of people who took
the survey said that the trailer
should be around 2 minutes long.
This is useful as I know that if I
have more than two minutes, the
viewers may lose focus, especially
if the storyline is boring.
6. The results show that people find a
movie more interesting when the
movie has been advertised. This
shows me that is important to
advertise it.
Some ways of advertisements:
-Posters
-Film cover
-TV commercials
7. 100% of the people taking the
survey said that a trailer is
important when making a film. This
would probably be because it gives
an insight to the film and makes the
film look really interesting. It is also
another form of advertisement.
