ABSTRACT:
Multiplication is a fundamental operation in most arithmetic computating systems
.Multipliers are part of DSP processing, FFT, convolution and many more areas where
computation is required. Multiplication is the most extensively used operation.
Digital multiplication is a sequence of additions carried out on partial products. This
partial product array is then summed by using a carry propagate adder. Multiplication can be
performed by using Serial multiplication and Parallel multiplication. Serial multiplication
implementations are simple. Parallel implementations are used for high performance machines.

Array multiplier is one of the popular kinds of Parallel multiplier. Mux based Array
multiplier is an efficient realization of the parallel multiplication using an array where 4-to-1
multiplexers are used for the computation of partial products. Using this multiplier partial product
is independently computed in parallel.
