2. Ancient Chinese Music made its presence felt as early as 256 BC with the emergence of the
Zhou Dynasty. Chinese music interments may be classified into the following three categories,
string, wind, and percussion instruments. In Chinese music, it is believed to say that
Confucius had lived about 2,500 or so years ago. Confucius is believe to have set the tone of
traditional Chinese music that had took place thousands of years ago. Chinese music
interwove with dances in its early time, and developed into an independent art category in Xia
Dynasty (2000 BC - 1600 BC) which is also the beginning of the times of bells and drums
lasting for 1300 years. In the Chinese Ancient time, the music instrument was consider a
privilege for highly upper class. Grand songs and dances or Daqu in Chinese is the main style
of music from Qin Dynasty (221 BC - 206 BC) to Tang Dynasty (618 - 907).

4. My opinion and feelings about this topic I choose was; to get the basic
understanding of where I came from; and how the music affect my
Chinese culture. I also think that knowing the Chinese instruments is
really important because, people what to hear what they really sound
like, and that people can start playing it more often.
