Lisa Bought 20 pieces of candy for 2 dollars how many pieces of candy could Lisa buy for 3 dollars ? Step 1: first you find the numbers that you are going to cross multiply by. x 20*3+2*x 2x=60 X=30 22 candy dollars 20 2 3 Step 2: then you multiply the numbers that you cross-multiplied then you divide by 2 Step 3: you solve your problem which solves for X
• 3. 3 is what percent of 25 ? Step 1:First you cross multiply to solve for what’s 3 percent of 25 3 25*x=100*3 25x=300 X=12 2525 x 100 25 Step 2: After cross multiplying and getting 25*x=100*3 and getting 25x=300 then you divide by 25 Step 3: After dividing by 25 you get the answer which is x=12.
