1. How to Factorax2 + bx + c Pick an example problem to use, and delete the others: 15x2 + 26x + 8 2x2 + 15x + 18 12x2 + 23x + 5 6x2 + 19x + 10 12x2 + 8x + 1
3. Step 2: 2x2 + 15x + 18 A b c Ac=2*18=36 b=15 Multiply to get AC 3/12 magic number’s 4/9 6/6 Step two I have to find out my AC which is 2 times 18 which is 36. then I had to find my B which is 15. I also needed to find out the factor’s that will get my AC 36 when I found the magic numbers I have to see which pair equal up to my B 15. My magic number’s are 3/12.
4. Step 3: put my magic number’s in the factor 2x2 + 15x + 18 (2x2 + 3x)+(12x+18) 1x(2x+3)+6(2x+3) (2x+3) (2x+6) I found my magic number’s so I put them in the factor equation. Then I found out what number’s go in 2&3 which was 1 so that’s how I got my 1x then I just went on from there. Then I saw that both of my side’s were the same so I brought everything down.
