Class Guidelines and Expectations
- Students will come to class prepared with all necessary supplies including a three
ring binder, pencils and a scientific calculator.
- Participation in daily lessons / Activities / It is okay to be wrong!
- Tests and quizzes announced in advance
Daily Procedures
- First 5 / Last 5
- “Do Now”
- Classroom notes / Additional Practice
Homework Policy
- Based on effort / Completion of assignment, students are given 100, 50 or 0
- Late to school / Absence policy / Missing 3 assignments in a row
Grading Policy
- Earned points ÷ Total points (about 400 to 550 pts per marking period)
- Example A (First Marking Period):
Quiz 1:25/30 Quiz 2: 45/60 Test 1: 90/100
Quiz 3: 30/35 Quiz 4: 50/60 Test 2: 80/100 HW: 75/85
First M arking Period Final Grade = 395 ÷ 470 = .84 = 84% B
