The following are the Term Dates for 2015 (and any holidays that occur in term time).
Term1: Wednesday 28 January to Thursday 2 April
(Waitangi Day is Friday 6 February)
(Good Friday is Friday 3 April)
Term2: Monday 20 April to Friday 3 July
(Anzac Day is Saturday 25 April but the Public Holiday is Monday 27 April)
(Queen’s Birthday is Monday 1 June)
Term3: Monday 20 July to Friday 25 September
Term4: Monday 12 October to Tuesday 8 December
(Labour Day is Monday 26 October)
(Monday 26 January = Auckland Anniversary Day)
Tuesday 27 January = Teacher OnlyDay (8.30am in the staffroom)
Wednesday 28 January = Years 10 – 13 are in today
Students new to the school at Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 go to the hall at 8.50am.

3. All Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 students that attended Westlake Girls High School in 2014 are to
go to their 2014 forms rooms at 9.15am.
All students will be released at approximately 11.00am.
Staff will have PD session on Teaching As Inquiry for the rest of the day
Thursday 29 January = Year 9 in and Y13 Leaders 8.45am – 3pm (Years 10, 11 and 12
are not required to be at school).
Year 9 meet in the hall at 8.45am and are divided into form/House classes.
An orientation programme will run for the day lead by the Y13 student leaders. The Y9
students will have activities to get them to know other class members, be taken on tours of
the school, attend an ICT session to log into the school network and a library session.
School buses will run from Thursday 29 January.
Friday 30 January will be a Timetable Day 1 and the first day of classes being taught.
Friday 6 February is Waitangi Day (Public Holiday) and school is closed.

Swimming sports (competitors only) is Wednesday 11 February
Class photos are Tuesday 17 February and Wednesday 18 February
New parents evening (SLT, Deans, Y9 2015 Form teachers) is Thursday 19 February
Athletics Day (whole school) is Friday 20 February
School exams for Years 11, 12 and 13 will be around Thursday 10 Sept – Wed 23
September
Last Day for Y11, 12 and 13 is Friday 30 October
NCEA examinations begin on Friday 6 November
