Obama Care Paper
19 April 2011 What can be done to help health care cost? The main cause for the healthcare reform
bill is the rising cost of health insurance for the American citizens. From the 1960s to the 1980s
healthcare spending went from $28 billion to $255 billion. By the beginning of 2000, healthcare
spending increased to $1.4 trillion. The United States economy has slowly declined due to several
factors, the cost of health care is one. Presidents, state representatives, hospital and insurance
executives, and economists have tried to attack this huge deficit. There are several things that can be
done in order to reduce rapidly increasing health care spending. Some actions that could benefit the
United States economy is the stop of wasteful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hospitals also provide unnecessary and expensive care to those patients that are on life support.
Discuss options with those patients and make sure they are aware of the cost they are willing to
leave their family to deal with. Helping hospitals cut those expenses is another important action to
take. A patient suffering from one or more major illnesses may depend on several different doctors
to help them. These doctors usually never talk to one other. The patient's medical bills are stacking
up because doctors are running the same test over again. With the doctors not communicating, it
means that there will be extra treatments, double prescriptions and more of the same test. Patients
should make sure their doctors talk to each other and know which test have been given and the
results of the test. A person can also keep their own medical records for their personal files. Doctor
offices will charge anywhere from $10 to $100 to transfer medical records. There are some offices
that do not charge if patients request a copy of their medical records. Another major way to cut cost
individually will just be for every citizen to take better care of themselves. It does not take much for
a person to eat better and to do mild exercising in order to reduce their individual healthcare bills.
Also, many common illnesses can be treated with over the counter drugs. Do not

Pediatrician Informative Speech
I'm writing to you today to suggest that the motivational speaker should be a pediatrician. Pediatrics
manage occupational tasks with infants and children. Working with children will give one a great
personality and kind heart inside and outside the workplace. While being a pediatrician, you can do
other things besides the daily duties in the workplace, by becoming active in your community. As
for being active, you are persuading your local communities, kids and adults stay active, become
healthy and take care of yourself properly. Health is a very important thing for everyone because
once you get older and older without taking care of yourself, different thing will develop and cause
a variety number of problems. The way you will live your life is all surrounded by how you take
care of yourself and doctors are responsible for that and to make a change as well.
There are plenty of tasks for pediatricians. These responsibilities will demonstrate time management
skills. The duties include advising patients, maintaining medical history, examine children regularly,
perform diagnostic tests, explain procedures and monitor patients' conditions. With all these duties
being applied daily towards the job, it will allow others to seek better things in their own workplace,
even though it might seem difficult, it can be accomplished.

The Importance of Palliative Care for the Dying Patient Essay
Comfort measures are crucial for the dying patient and their loved ones. Comfort measures, not
only, include pain management but also massage, music, position changes, and heat, which are all
just as important. Palliative care is an extremely important aspect of nursing. Palliative care
"focuses more broadly on improving life and providing comfort to people of all ages with serious,
chronic, and life–threatening illnesses" (http://www.WebMD.com). The ultimate goal of comfort
measures and palliative care is to ensure that the patient has a more relaxed and peaceful death (End
of Life care: An Ethical Overview, 16). Other important aspects of palliative care consists of
hygiene measures, which includes keeping the patient dry and clean, ... Show more content on

Supporters of palliative care feel that it is against two of the main ethical principles of healthcare to
not recognize the suffering of the terminally ill (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16). These
principles are beneficence and non–maleficence (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16).
Beneficence means that the healthcare provider is helping or attempting to help the patient (End of
Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16). Non–maleficence means that the healthcare provider is not
harming the patient (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16). Palliative care includes an
around–the–clock pain management schedule. Those who "received early palliative care actually
had lower rates of depression and better quality of life than patients who received standard treatment
only" (http://www.WebMD.com). According to WebMD, a study was published August 2010 in the
New England Journal of Medicine by researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital which
compared palliative care to standard care for lung cancer patients. The study found that those
patients who received palliative care lived 2.7 months longer than the patients who only received
standard care (www.http://www.WebMD.com). They stated that it could be "due to more effective
treatment of depression, better management of symptoms, or less need for hospitalization"
(http://www.Web MD.com). This study is a great tool to show how important the treatment for relief

The role of human resources is also very important in maintaining an effective health care industry.
If the managerial personnel are performing their duties effectively and efficiently in a health care
organization, the organization will automatically progress. Additionally, the organization will
provide the improved outcomes of the patient health and health care delivery as well. This is so
because human resource is also considered as one of the most important inputs to effective health
care services. Although there exists a variety of challenges in inducting qualified human resource
professionals but there is a strong need to solve this issue. (Kabene, 2006)
The challenges associated with the HRM i.e. human resource management includes the distribution
and composition of health care work force. In addition to this, the issues related to the training of the
work force are also a challenge for the human resource management. The relocation of the health
workers is also a great concern. Moreover, the degree of economic development is also a great
challenge that negatively impacts the level of performance shown by a health care organization.
These challenges must be addressed properly in order to have an effective health care delivery
anywhere in the world.
If we compare the health care financing of past and that of recent times, there exists a dramatic shift
in the trends of the issue. In the past times, the

Who Cares About Writing?
Why would anyone care about writing anyway? It's only the single most important form of
communication, outside of verbal. Writing is an underestimated and misunderstood art. Yet it is so
widely used and taken advantage of. By "taking advantage," I mean the improper uses of the
language. But really, who cares? So many use it, but no one takes into consideration how important
the usage of words are and what they have the power to do. I don't think the question should be
'Why would anyone care?' But moreover, 'Who cares?' Because if we don't know the who of who
cares about writing, how can we know the why? In analyzing who really cares about writing I didn't
come up with many individuals or groups of people. I found that ... Show more content on

I'll tell you who cares about writing the most: The person who is reading, the consumer. Consumers
take time out of their busy schedules to read, or listen to music.
I've always though that the person who wrote or produced some form a writing would generally care
about it more than anyone else. I was about fifteen when I realized this wasn't true. Since I was
about seven years old, and had won a writer's award at school, my mom was convinced that she
would read everything that I ever wrote. Every paper I wrote, every note I passed, every diary entry
I sealed, and every yearbook I signed, she read it and I'm almost positive she still has it. There was
this one instance when she found a note that I wrote, needless to say, she was not happy it. After she
made me read out loud to her, I was bold enough to ask her why she was so interested in what I was
writing. She responded by saying: "Because I care." I was thinking to myself, 'Well could care a
little less? I don't even care enough to want to read the note over.' It turned out to be a lesson
learned. Now it all makes sense. Writers, of any sort, don't right to reiterate to themselves how they
feel. They already know! They produce art to be
consumed!
So who cares about writing anyway? "..A book that was dead of language to the uneducated

Argyle Communication Theory
The theories of communication is the communication cycle in order such as aim, compose, deliver,
receive feedback, analyze and improve. The communication cycle is a theory proposed by Argyle,
which brings the communication effective individuals communicating as the need should arise in a
two–manner process which is being said and saying. When imparting to individuals we need to
ensure that they comprehend what we are stating and react to it appropriately. There are many sorts
of communication, for example, formal and informal language, communication through signing,
verbal and nonverbal dialect that can be a boundary. Communication is related to practice and could
use this is health and social care sector by having a communication to the service users in a sector.
For instance, an old lady went to the healing center alone and she has a hearing impairment, the
specialist will endeavor to have a decent discussion by recording the medicine that the old lady
needs. Thusly, they had a decent communication and the old lady had her pharmaceutical.
Communication is truly critical a well being and social care segment since it will be a major impact
to the administration clients in the event that they won't comprehend what you're stating and it could
likewise prompt demise by not having a reasonable discussion and might take a wrong medicine.
Furthermore, theories of learning (Kolb's learning cycle) are kinesthetic, auditory and visual.
Kinesthetic is the point at which you learn

The Affordable Healthcare Act Of America
The Obama Care bill also Known as the patient protect and Affordable Care Act was established on
March 21, 2010. The Affordable healthcare Act also known as Obama Care has helped over a billion
people gain access to health. In 2010 it shows that 50 million people in America did not have
insurance, it also shows that 48.6 million people had decreased, and then it increased in 2012. In
2010, before the Healthcare Act was signed Obama noticed some of the small issues that were going
on in healthcare systems. Obama seen that some of the insurance Companies had some unjustified
rates for their healthcare plan. He observed how some of the prices for healthcare were controlled
by hospitals and private doctors. The way that the healthcare system used to work was that the
people that could afford the healthcare plans were able to get them. The People that were unable to
get healthcare insurance like through their job or a private practice had to rely on getting Medicaid
and Medicare was only for disable people or elderly people. The Affordable healthcare Act was
placed to help people throughout the U.S. receive insurance even if they don't qualify with their

Social Media 's Impact On Society
Introduction Recent surveys have shown that approximately three–fourths of Americans use the
internet. Of those internet users, nearly 74% of online adults use social networking sites (Pew's
Internet Project's Research, 2014). In the last decade or so social media has been growing with
many different websites dedicated to social media. These websites include FaceBook, Instagram,
Twitter, SnapChat, blogs, video sites, online chat rooms, and forums to communicate both
professionally and personally. Social media users can post comments, pictures, ideas, opinions, and
connect with friends and family. There has been a recent increase in the use of social media in the
past decade with more people than ever using these sites. With more and more people sharing
information through the internet and social media, there is an increased risk of people sharing data
that violates privacy of others. Many individuals who use social media do not restrict themselves.
With all the advancement in technology, such as mobile phones, users seem to lose sight of
boundaries when it comes to personal information. Most people carry mobile phones that allow
them access to endless applications. According to Pew's Internet Project's Research, "over forty–
percent of smartphone carriers use their device to access social media" (Pew's Internet Project's
Research, 2014). Social media is a great way for health care professionals to network with
colleagues, students, and communicate about patient care. However,

Interdisciplinary Care And Collaboration Analysis
The Importance of Interdisciplinary Care and Collaboration
Have you ever wondered what makes corporations successful? Have you ever asked yourself if by
giving the best of your effort as an employee, you could be a key piece to the success of your team?
Steve Jobs was so right to say "Great things in business are never done by one person. They are
done by a team of people" (Whiting, 2013) and the medical field is not the exception.
Interdisciplinary care and team collaboration are based on building great teamwork, maintaining
alive the principles of collaboration, and minimizing the barriers in coordination of care. (Scott,
2014)
First, building great teamwork is one of the most important factors to achieve successful
interdisciplinary care. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most important thing to remember is that small changes and daily intakes done individually for
the common purpose of the team can make a huge difference in the impact of a corporation, a state
or even a whole country. If we, as professionals in the medical field, do not produce these small but
so necessary changes, we will lose the great opportunity to become the catalysts of the future
improvements in the healthcare system. Al we need is some type of action in the right direction, and
as long as we build great teamwork, maintain alive the principles of collaboration, and minimize the
barriers in coordination of care, we will make our work easier, people happier, and patients well care

The documentary Sick Around the World has really opened my eyes about the United States health
care system. The diversity of health–care systems in other countries would make individuals think
that the United States would have thoughts of changing a majority of their policies. The information
given in the documentary was factual and useful to my knowledge. The information also provides
me with ways I could approach my future career in health care, which is epidemiology. As an
epidemiologist, disease would be my main focus point which produces an impact on individuals.
More disease, equals more health care and more expenses. In this paper, I intend to include details
about the documentary, present an analysis of what was shown, and express my reaction to the
video. In this informative documentary, it concentrates on 5 particular countries and explores ways
each country provides healthcare to their citizens. Even though the policies and regulations are
different from the United States, does that necessarily mean their ways are more beneficial? The
author helps to explain and break the concept down for the viewers. For example the first country
the author represented in the video was Great Britain. Here, the government run Nation Health Care
System has all of its citizens covered which means no medical bill and no one has to file
bankruptcy. For a better understanding of how healthcare is paid for, British citizens pay for health
care out of tax revenue. Even though Great

My Wish By Rascal Flatts Analysis
Fathers come in all shapes and forms including across many different cultures, which generate all
different kinds of relationships and care with their offspring. Men often when becoming a father,
show a great deal of love and care for their little one. Men typically love their children. A father
often cares and loves their young in a way that demonstrates how they were raised. A Father's
relationship with their child takes on a huge role, which shapes the off springs self–image, self–
confidence and obviously their opinions about men. Fathers tend to care for their biological
offspring because it benefits the child's development and the father's overall fitness and the family

Thanks to Contemporary Nursing Essays
The Nursing Practice has come a very long way from what is use to be. Nursing was an unwanted
profession, difficult and challenging in many ways. It was thanks to the dedication, great effort and
sacrifice of many determined nurses that paved the way for contemporary nursing. Dating back to
around middle of the first century Christians use to care and tend the sick, serving as one of the first
nurses that history can account. When the small pox epidemic occurred in around 165 to 185 AD,
these Christians served as nurses. Now, we can imagine how hard it would have been to be a nurse
in those days. The conditions were deplorable, with barely any hygiene. There were harsh

Nursing was even harder for women whose skin color did not favor them at the time, due to racism.
A great example was Mary Seacole, a woman with a great determination to cure the sick and tend to
the injured. After the many letters sent to Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole receive a letter
denying her petition to be part of her team of nurses (Carnegie, 1995). This could have been a
setback for an ordinary person, but it did not stop well–determined Mary Seacole, she was
everything but ordinary. Her persistence to serve those in need of medical care let her to travel more
than 3000 miles to Crimea. With limited resources, she bought and opened a lodging house, in
which she took care of the wounded soldiers (Carnegie, 1995). Long after the war was over, she
received recognition for taking care of the wounded.
Determination and great effort are some of the words that come to mind when reviewing some of
the heroic acts by the great nursing pioneers. World War I brought out to light amazing people.
There was great necessity for medical assistance in the battlefield and outside the battlegrounds
(Nies and McEwen 2011). Mary Breckenridge is an example of the women whom influenced in

A Brief Summary Of Angela Robby's Growth
It's a question to many whether a teenager can care for a baby on their own. Also, if teenageers can
handle the responsibilities of an adult or even just "grow–up" in a sense. Angela Johnson seemed to
have made it a little hidden if Bobby grew up in her novel (He's only a teenager). However, it has
been made clear that he did indeed "grow–up." The birth of Feather caused Bobby to really grow–up
a lot. Bobby took great care of Feather; he only had a few mistakes that were bound to happen. Then
he neglected his friends' childish games and activities later in the story. Feather's birth really had an
impact on Bobby. It made him have to grow–up. Taking care of a baby involves a lot of
responsibility. In the book, Angela Johnson even included having a list of items Bobby needed for

Corruption In The Great Gatsby Essay
The wealthy in the late 20's was corrupt and selfish. In the Great Gatsby the upper class is shown as

The similarities of the two healthcare systems are that both countries have an organized healthcare
system although they are organized in a differently. All citizens in each country are treated by
physicians in an attempt to heal and treat the sick. Also both healthcare systems use preventive
medicine as a way to improve the overall health of all citizens. Another similarity amongst the two
is that there are many citizens in each country that share the same opinion on the quality of the care
that is provided. According to a study it shows that the views of Americans on the quality of medical
care in their country are not overly different from those in Great Britain – 48% of Americans, 52%
of Canadians, and 42% of Britons say they are satisfied. (Blizzard, 2003)

In times of war everyone has suffered some sort of loss. It creates great unhappiness and gloominess
in the people affected. The only way to overcome these dark times is through great love and
embrace from the people around you, the people who care for you. Hana, a nurse in one of the most
gruesome eras of our existence, has seen and been through it all. While at the villa she tries and
make everyone's stay, as pleasurable and positive as possible. Hana takes great care of the English
patient and listens to all his stories. She falls helplessly in love with Kirpal Singh; she is a light in
his dark times. Hana also gives a new found hope to Caravaggio after he lost his thumbs, his only
tool. In the novel The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje, Hana's character brings out the best in
the people around her through caring relationships.
The English patient is bed ridden and cannot do anything for himself. He needs morphine to survive
and without Hana he would have been dead a long time ago. She cares deeply for the English
patient and takes care of him from morning till night. One of the few things that bring Almásy joy in
these dark times are story's being read to him and him telling stories to others. Hana makes sure that
she listens and reads to him, because this will make his day less miserable, she is brining out the
best in him. She feeds him and cares for him like if it was her own sick father. It is like a father–
daughter relationship. Hana lost her father to the

Health Care Leadership Essay
An excellent health care leader needs to be surrounded and supported by competent and empathetic
subordinate health care professionals who like what they do.
"Leaders in health care should be upfront and leading by example to demonstrate their leadership
abilities and assist with health care duties and responsibilities. A good leader says let's go and gets
things done instead of waiting for others to get them done. He must be in the front line seeing
patients and managing the health care duties that makes their health care practices successful. An
efficient leader must understand every–ones roles and responsibilities in order to appreciate what

Persuasive Essay On Health Care
America is a great nation, that is full of independent people. This is great, it leads to many good
inventions and progressive ideas. But when it comes to the way healthcare works, America is
lacking compared to the rest of the first world countries. The fully privatized health insurance leaves
people of lower income without the access to the great healthcare we as Americans deserve. So, I
think that America's healthcare system should be rebuilt where everyone can go to the doctors
without fear of the outrageous pricing. America is such a great place, as far as medical
advancements. The fact that this is walled off so heavily to most people because of cost is
something that needs to change. The problem isn't going to be easy to fix. Whatever you want to say
about Obama's presidency his plan with the Affordable Health Care Act was the pioneering steps
towards moving our, seemingly ancient, healthcare system into the future. Even as much as Trump
hates to admit it he is in favor of this idea too. He has stated that he doesn't think anyone should go
without getting help when they are sick. The country needs a base level of insurance. The fact
people would rather get drove to the hospital than to call an ambulance because of costs. This shows
we really need to think about reforming the way we treat our people. The problem isn't just with
serious injuries that require immediate medical attention. People in America treat their bodies like
old beater cars and ignore serious

The Great Depression : President 's Franklin Roosevelt And...
M"Lynne McMillan Morgan Ricks History 2223
31 March 2015
The Great Depression President 's Franklin Roosevelt and Herbert Hoover were both faced with the
challenge of the Great Depression, and if the were here today I feel they would each deal with the
healthcare issue in America in different ways. Each president handled this massive challenge in very
different ways. Today, a lot of controversy is on our nation's health care, and the Obamacare Act. In
my opinion, Roosevelt would more than likely help encourage this act, while Hoover on the other
hand, would not be so pleased with what it had to offer. In 1929, seven months into Hoover's
Presidency, the stock market crashed and this marked the beginning of what became known as the
"Great Depression". Hoover, at the time, believed this was just a small bump in the road, and in no
time things would be back to normal (Responses to the Great).. He soon realized this was a great
deal bigger and calls grew to him to increase spending and the intervention of the federal
government. Hoover denied involving the federal government in fear of controlled businesses,
forced fixed prices, and the manipulated value of currency (digitalhistory.uh). Hoover felt involving
the federal government would be just moving the country closer to socialism. He did give indirect
aid to local public works projects and banks. He refused to use money from the federal government
for direct aid to the citizens. He did believe the dole would weaken

The Pros And Cons Of Allied Health
According to the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions, Allied Health professionals
partake in the "delivery of health care related services" (What is Allied Health?, 2018). Allied health
professions are typically acquired in a relatively short amount of time through an accredited school.
Education can take anywhere from 8 weeks to 8 years, depending on what allied health profession is
being completed. Minorities typically seek allied health professions that can be completed in as
short as 8 weeks but not longer than 2 year. This choice is typically economical for minorities,
however, the question remains as to whether job security outweighs the low income an allied health
position often yields.

There are many ways to provide incentives for employees. They do not necessarily need to be a
financial incentive. There could be programs developed on a national scale to provide free education
for high school seniors to be able to complete a certificate program as part of their high school
education. The requirements can be a GPA of 3.5 or above and a letter of recommendation from
their guidance counselor. Another type of incentive can be to have a job secured once they complete
their education. Sign on bonuses always yield great outcomes.
Professional growth is most certainly important to individuals in any allied health profession. Often,
the limitation on the level of education required for an entry–level allied health profession can
hinder professional growth. Tuition reimbursement is a great way to promote continuing education
that would lead to professional growth (Buchbinder & Shanks, 2016). On the job training is also
another way to promote professional growth. Providing in house training sessions, mentorship
programs or seminars are great ways to build up any allied health care

The Affordable Care Act And Its effects Health Care reform is not a new thing to people of United

due to the influences of several factors. Having an acceptable and affordable form of health care
system is needed to insure the good health of the citizens. In today's news, we hear many headlines

This act, when described, seems to have a positive impact yet there are many issues concerning this
act. The affordable care act illustrates the idea of public policy in that it took various representatives
of the Obama administration to draw up a plan for this act. For an idea to become a possibility of
passing and being implemented, it needs countless hours of crafting and reviewing by the men and
women in Congress so that it can be a success. The New York Times summarized the overall impact
of the Affordable Care Act on a variety of dimensions. The number of uninsured people have
reduced significantly, as a result of this act. Yet, about 7.3 million people remain enrolled in their
own private insurance coverage through the online marketplaces but this act still has insured more
than enough people and has become a great success story. Additionally, 85% of those who qualified
for federal subsidies were aided in paying their premiums. (Tavenner) Moreover, for those who
qualified for subsidies through the federal exchange, the subsidies lowered their insurance premium
by 76% on average. Yet, the challenge is for middle–income persons who don 't qualify for subsidies
and are more likely to have a hard time accepting premium costs of this act.(Tavenner) New York
Times also states that it is too early to tell whether the act has affected health outcomes. Even
though healthcare costs have been driven

The Core Principles of Nursing
Introduction: There are many different aspects to being a 'good nurse', but there are six core
principles of nursing which have emerged through progression of the nursing profession, (DoH
2012). The core principles were brought in as a result of issues raised within the National Health
Service (NHS) and have been identified as caring and compassion; dignity; communication;
professionalism; emotional intelligence and the nurse–patient relationship. The three principles I
have chosen to analyse are communication, dignity and nurse–patient relationship because it is my
belief that when a nurse lacks awareness of these, they will also lack the ability to be a successful
nurse. From my own research and experience, these three principles are ... Show more content on

Maintaining dignity is not only meaningful in the first stages of caring for an individual, but
essential throughout a patient's care; by giving the element of control, it will help promote patient
independence. Promoting dignity can be achieved more easily if the patient and nurse establish a
good working nurse–patient relationship, further enhanced by treating each individual equally,
regardless of protected characteristics, (e.g. age, culture, race, religion, etc.), to ensure everyone is
given the same level of care and importance. Zion (2011) said that consistency within the unit, by
the way the care staff approached patients right through to the way they communicated amongst
colleagues, gave him what he needed to go back into society and get back hold of his dignity. Zion's
perception supports the idea that nurses and care staff have a significant role in patient's
experiences. Although it's his personal opinion, he is speaking as the patient and talking about of an
experience which has directly affected him. He clearly states that due to the staff consistency and
communication, they gave him back his dignity that he perhaps lost on arrival to the hospital. He
tells us about how he was restrained onto a bed whilst being taken from the emergency room to the
unit, after suffering from mental illnesses, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

3 Ways to Sneak in More Self Care Making space to take care of yourself and prioritise your needs
is one of the biggest challenges busy, high–achieving women face.
When life gets overpowering and levels of stress rise, it's so tantalizing to clear out your calendar by
taking off the things which you do for yourself. On the surface, it can seem like the easiest, swiftest,
lowest conflict path to making more time, energy, and getting the "critical stuff" dealt with. The
difficulty is that it isn't.

The truth is, when I pay myself first – when I put my workout at the top of the list, when I take the
time at the start of my week to plan my meals or plan some good down time in my week? I not only
feel better all week, I perform better. I am more targeted and creative. I feel more alive and I have
more to give. My clients notice this as well. When they drop the assumption that they have no time
for themselves and start putting their self–care first, they really get more done.
3. Make self–care an appointment and make it a standing date. Mull it over. If something is tricky to

her and she could use to relax, plan her eating decisions, and limit stress eating. The key was to
systematize things so she had a ritual she was used to completing at set times of the day and that

Obama Care Paper

  • 1. Obama Care Paper 19 April 2011 What can be done to help health care cost? The main cause for the healthcare reform bill is the rising cost of health insurance for the American citizens. From the 1960s to the 1980s healthcare spending went from $28 billion to $255 billion. By the beginning of 2000, healthcare spending increased to $1.4 trillion. The United States economy has slowly declined due to several factors, the cost of health care is one. Presidents, state representatives, hospital and insurance executives, and economists have tried to attack this huge deficit. There are several things that can be done in order to reduce rapidly increasing health care spending. Some actions that could benefit the United States economy is the stop of wasteful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hospitals also provide unnecessary and expensive care to those patients that are on life support. Discuss options with those patients and make sure they are aware of the cost they are willing to leave their family to deal with. Helping hospitals cut those expenses is another important action to take. A patient suffering from one or more major illnesses may depend on several different doctors to help them. These doctors usually never talk to one other. The patient's medical bills are stacking up because doctors are running the same test over again. With the doctors not communicating, it means that there will be extra treatments, double prescriptions and more of the same test. Patients should make sure their doctors talk to each other and know which test have been given and the results of the test. A person can also keep their own medical records for their personal files. Doctor offices will charge anywhere from $10 to $100 to transfer medical records. There are some offices that do not charge if patients request a copy of their medical records. Another major way to cut cost individually will just be for every citizen to take better care of themselves. It does not take much for a person to eat better and to do mild exercising in order to reduce their individual healthcare bills. Also, many common illnesses can be treated with over the counter drugs. Do not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Working with children will give one a great personality and kind heart inside and outside the workplace. While being a pediatrician, you can do other things besides the daily duties in the workplace, by becoming active in your community. As for being active, you are persuading your local communities, kids and adults stay active, become healthy and take care of yourself properly. Health is a very important thing for everyone because once you get older and older without taking care of yourself, different thing will develop and cause a variety number of problems. The way you will live your life is all surrounded by how you take care of yourself and doctors are responsible for that and to make a change as well. There are plenty of tasks for pediatricians. These responsibilities will demonstrate time management skills. • 3. The Importance of Palliative Care for the Dying Patient Essay Comfort measures are crucial for the dying patient and their loved ones. Comfort measures, not only, include pain management but also massage, music, position changes, and heat, which are all just as important. Palliative care is an extremely important aspect of nursing. Palliative care "focuses more broadly on improving life and providing comfort to people of all ages with serious, chronic, and life–threatening illnesses" (http://www.WebMD.com). The ultimate goal of comfort measures and palliative care is to ensure that the patient has a more relaxed and peaceful death (End of Life care: An Ethical Overview, 16). Other important aspects of palliative care consists of hygiene measures, which includes keeping the patient dry and clean, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Supporters of palliative care feel that it is against two of the main ethical principles of healthcare to not recognize the suffering of the terminally ill (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16). These principles are beneficence and non–maleficence (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16). Beneficence means that the healthcare provider is helping or attempting to help the patient (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16). Non–maleficence means that the healthcare provider is not harming the patient (End of Life Care: An Ethical Overview, 16). Palliative care includes an around–the–clock pain management schedule. Those who "received early palliative care actually had lower rates of depression and better quality of life than patients who received standard treatment only" (http://www.WebMD.com). According to WebMD, a study was published August 2010 in the New England Journal of Medicine by researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital which compared palliative care to standard care for lung cancer patients. The study found that those patients who received palliative care lived 2.7 months longer than the patients who only received standard care (www.http://www.WebMD.com). They stated that it could be "due to more effective treatment of depression, better management of symptoms, or less need for hospitalization" (http://www.Web MD.com). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Safran, Rogers etal, 2000) The role of human resources is also very important in maintaining an effective health care industry. If the managerial personnel are performing their duties effectively and efficiently in a health care organization, the organization will automatically progress. Additionally, the organization will provide the improved outcomes of the patient health and health care delivery as well. This is so because human resource is also considered as one of the most important inputs to effective health care services. Although there exists a variety of challenges in inducting qualified human resource professionals but there is a strong need to solve this issue. (Kabene, 2006) The challenges associated with the HRM i.e. human resource management includes the distribution and composition of health care work force. In addition to this, the issues related to the training of the work force are also a challenge for the human resource management. The relocation of the health workers is also a great concern. Moreover, the degree of economic development is also a great challenge that negatively impacts the level of performance shown by a health care organization. These challenges must be addressed properly in order to have an effective health care delivery anywhere in the world. • 5. Who Cares About Writing? Why would anyone care about writing anyway? It's only the single most important form of communication, outside of verbal. Writing is an underestimated and misunderstood art. Yet it is so widely used and taken advantage of. By "taking advantage," I mean the improper uses of the language. But really, who cares? So many use it, but no one takes into consideration how important the usage of words are and what they have the power to do. I don't think the question should be 'Why would anyone care?' But moreover, 'Who cares?' Because if we don't know the who of who cares about writing, how can we know the why? In analyzing who really cares about writing I didn't come up with many individuals or groups of people. I found that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I'll tell you who cares about writing the most: The person who is reading, the consumer. Consumers take time out of their busy schedules to read, or listen to music. I've always though that the person who wrote or produced some form a writing would generally care about it more than anyone else. I was about fifteen when I realized this wasn't true. Since I was about seven years old, and had won a writer's award at school, my mom was convinced that she would read everything that I ever wrote. Every paper I wrote, every note I passed, every diary entry I sealed, and every yearbook I signed, she read it and I'm almost positive she still has it. There was this one instance when she found a note that I wrote, needless to say, she was not happy it. After she made me read out loud to her, I was bold enough to ask her why she was so interested in what I was writing. She responded by saying: "Because I care." I was thinking to myself, 'Well could care a little less? I don't even care enough to want to read the note over.' It turned out to be a lesson learned. Now it all makes sense. Writers, of any sort, don't right to reiterate to themselves how they feel. They already know! They produce art to be consumed! So who cares about writing anyway? Of those internet users, nearly 74% of online adults use social networking sites (Pew's Internet Project's Research, 2014). In the last decade or so social media has been growing with many different websites dedicated to social media. These websites include FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat, blogs, video sites, online chat rooms, and forums to communicate both professionally and personally. Social media users can post comments, pictures, ideas, opinions, and connect with friends and family. • 10. Sick Around The World Has Really Opened My Eyes About The... The documentary Sick Around the World has really opened my eyes about the United States health care system. The diversity of health–care systems in other countries would make individuals think that the United States would have thoughts of changing a majority of their policies. The information given in the documentary was factual and useful to my knowledge. The information also provides me with ways I could approach my future career in health care, which is epidemiology. As an epidemiologist, disease would be my main focus point which produces an impact on individuals. More disease, equals more health care and more expenses. The key was to systematize things so she had a ritual she was used to completing at set times of the day and that would kick in even if she is away from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
