In 2020 COVID19 pandemic spread across the world like wildfire, we were forced to rethink our summercamp program, we moved program from an in-person program to an Online program. Here is our story. 3. Our Online Summer Camp Story
• We started our Summer Camp Program Officially 2017 (First test run was at a family reunion
training with 14 children in 2016)
• In-Person program with average class of 18 children (first edition we had 22 children)
• Program was only offered to Children between ages 8 to 14
• Program was only offered in Lagos (Though some people in other states expressed interest but
for logistics)
• Average Number of Speakers or Facilitators was eight (8)
• Logistics (Feeding, Transportation and Accommodation: Finding the Right & Secure Venue) was
our biggest challenge
• Then COVID19 happened: We were forced to rethink our business we decided to go online

4. Physical or In-Person Sessions

5. Going Online
• Had to create a new website, new marketing promotion
• Price the service differently (weekly, 3 weeks)
• Got New Speakers Outside Nigeria (Online opened new borders)
• Ran our first Google Ad ever & did some Facebook ads
• Started a new category for Teenagers (Ages 13-19) called Teens Konnect
• Looked for Sponsors for the first time
• Used Technologies like Zoom (Live Sessions), Microsoft Teams (for Assignments) and WhatsApp
(to manage parent communication)
• Received payments Using PayPal & Paystack (100% electronic)

15. Why the Summer Camps
• Many Life Skills (Leadership, Financial Literacy, Public Speaking etc.) Are Not
Taught Well and Enough in Schools
• Leadership is Important: YOU can't lead others until you lead yourself
• Good to Start Teaching Children Early
• We are passionate about Education
