Arrival at LuangPrabang International Airport <br />
LuangPrabang is serene, calm and beautiful<br />
We visited local villages in the XiengNguenADP to see the work of World Vision<br />
Crops and animals bring food and income opportunities to the locals<br />
A weaving programme for people living with HIV/AIDS gave the visitors a meaningful shopping opportunity<br />
The Mekong River<br />
Taking a soothing boat ride to meet our sponsored children<br />
We are ready to meet our “children”!<br />
And looks like they are ready to meet us too!<br />
Child sponsor, Han Lip and his sponsored child, Tong getting to know each other<br />
Child sponsor, Danny is greeted with a local Nop greeting from his sponsored children<br />
A local World Vision staff acted as an interpreter for the children, Danny and his wife, Helen.<br />
It was all smiles when the other child sponsors met their “children” too<br />
A World Vision assisted school in XiengNguenADP<br />
The students were initially very shy to meet us<br />
Danny played teacher and taught English to the quick-learning children<br />
Children and adults alike had a field day with balloons<br />
Games that brought laughter and smiles<br />
Beautiful faces we cannot forget<br />
Innocence that touched our hearts<br />
Smiles that showed us their warmth<br />
Reality that broke our hearts<br />
Poverty that can be changed<br />
Hope that shines through<br />
To a future of dreams yet to be realised<br />
We can make the commitment to make them real<br />
