2. CONCEPT
• The idea began with research into Exquisite
Corpse, a writing technique, and existing twitter-
based writing projects.
• Social media was analysed to search for best
results in terms of community and connectivity.
3. AIM
• The aim was to produce a story using twitter
(and social media), with each contribution
changing themes, genres and styles as it went
due to each tweet being from someone different.
• The story would eventually unfold, and would
then, at certain point, be posted as a whole on a
blog.
4. • It would continue, perhaps infinitely, constantly
being updated and added to, the blog being the
centre point of the entirety of chapters.
• I also had the idea of giving readings of the work
for a Youtube channel.
5.
6.
7. DEVELOPMENT
• The project did not require its own website, as it
was decided to be twitter based. A twitter page
was set up and tweet-stream began.
• This eventually led to the first official tweet of
the Write, beginning the story.
8. • As well as the twitter account, a Facebook page
was set up, which would serve as the centre of
the community. I would post links to twitter
advertising it for the Facebook group.
• The Facebook page was shared to a Creative
Writing page for Bath Spa. In the future it would
be an idea to share it further.
9. • A Youtube channel was also set up, and a video
posted of myself explain what MightyWrite
is, and trying to gather views from that form of
media.
• It was and is intended to be host to
advertising, community chat and readings of
work.
10. FUTURE
• It would be incorrect to say MightyWrite is
complete, as it is far from. There were multiple
weaknesses with the method of project
execution, and therefore the growth was tiny.
• Future development could expand the project
further.
11. • My idea on how to do this is to use Facebook as
the home of MightyWrite instead of Twitter, due
to the existing fans there.
• Fans joined on the Facebook page, but not the
Twitter page, which became a problem with the
development of the actual project.
