These the ideas of using minimal
dialogue heavily influenced our
decisions in finalising our idea.
During this time as producer I set

March 25 2015 Created and uploaded treatment
for ‘Hidden Oak’. This took quite a
while and I had to heavily
research different thriller codes
and conventions from movies like
Vertigo and Shutter Island. These
helped me get some ideas I want
to somehow merge into our film.

Quite easy, but quite in depth. I
had to include all of our multiple
roles and went into more detail
about our specific acting and
other jobs like producing and
editing.

schedule, might have been a bit
too vague but I tried to keep it
simplistic and to the point but may
have left out some critical detail.

April 16 - 17 2015 Filming, helped shoot and was
actor. This was a very fun
weekend. I helped with many of
the shots, being the
cinematographer and giving my
point of view on how we should
do things. I was also critical to the
plot, with me playing one of the
main characters. I felt I was
especially helpful with my
contributions during this time.

uploaded. My first attempt at the
shooting schedule was not
enough so I revamped it and
added more detail to suit ‘Hollow
Oak’ more.

2. April 29 2015 10 mins of establishing shots
uploaded. I took lots of the shots
we planned to use in our film, and
edited them into a 10 minute
sequence for this. Took awhile to
find all of the clips. Zali helped
with this.

May 19 2015 Teacher tips uploaded. Miss Bell
provided us with some tips to help
make our film better, like making
the film sequence longer and
more uniform. Uploaded her tips
on our group blog.

Treatment needed more detail
with specific shot types and
angles. Revisted this section of
my treatment to revise this and
add more detail, explaining
specific shots, why we used them
and how they were effective.
