How does your product engage with audiences
and how would it be distributed as a real media
text?
• Our target audience was those of the same age as
us - teenagers.
• We used a dark and unsettling audience to appeal
to them.
• We used ambiguity to keep them interested.
• We used a real, gritty deal to make it seem more
realistic, hooking them in more
• We also made it quite casual in the sense of how
the kidnapper dressed, giving the sense it could be
anyone anywhere.
• We kept the appearance of the kidnapper hidden
in order to allow the overactive brains of the
teenagers to slot in anyone into that position.
• The strong soundtrack keeps the audience riveted
as it is powerful and moving, keeping them locked
in.
• We could distribute our film through a number of
different methods.
• We could put it on youtube for free to get lots of
publicity
• We could enter it into competitions in hope of
winning a prize and the attention of possible
funders for future endeavours, e.g. film festivals.
• We could use show it to tv channels and see if they
might show it. Would have to pay most likely, and
also very unlikely.
