Energy consumption calculation. The
energy E in kilowatt-hours (kWh) per
day is equal to the power P in watts
(W) times number of usage hours per
day to divided by 1000 watts per
kilowatt: E(kWh/day) = P(W) ×
t(h/day) / 1000(W/kW)
Power consumption
E= (P(Watt) × Hour/
1000(kW))*rate
A refrigerator
consumes 10 hours
per day with 200
watts, how much is
the daily power
consumption?
E= (P × H/KW) x 10
= daily basis
Given:
200Watts, 10 hours,
10 Pesos per Kilowatt/Hr
E= 200W × 10/1000 *10
= 2000/1000*10
= 2*10
=20 Pesos /day
= 20 X 30 days
PHP 600/ Month

E= P × Hr/KW x 10

• What is the cost for 1 PC in 8 hours a day?
• What is the cost per month?
Other solution:
E = P X Hr / 1KW = (100W X 8 hrs x 30)/1000
= 24 X 10 per day
= 240 Pesos / Month
