ARM AND RFID BASED EVENT MANAGEMENT
MONITORING SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
In places like stadiums, exhibitions, election meetings, etc., a large crowd
gathering will be present. This project is aimed at providing security at those
areas.
When any disaster happens, the details of the all the people entered on the
particular day are retrieved in the computer. The information about the people is
got by the driving license or pan card number etc, provided by the people while
gaining entrance into these places.
We are using ARM microcontroller considering future changes in the
model so that it can be developed as a product without any need to change the
processor core as it has the following advantages: consumes low power, has got
high speed, suitable for battery operated devices, supports RTOS to handle
multiple tasks, has built-in ADC and RTC.
DESCRIPTION
Initially the security person notes the information like name of the person
entering, head count of the family members, their driving license or pan card
number or the voter ID number along with the RFID card number being issued.
The visitor then swipes the card and enters. A welcome signature is
displayed on the ALCD. A LED and Buzzer are activated when each person
enters the stadium. The details of the card swiped and time date of entering are
stored in memory. Continuously swiping the card within a few seconds will not
affect the system.

ARM7TDMIS 32-BIT CONTROLLER
ARM is a 32-bit microprocessor. Architecture is based on RISC
principles. Very low power consumption because of CMOS technology. Three
stage pipeline to increase the speed of the flow of instructions to the processor.
Von Neumann architecture, with single 32-bit data bus carries both instructions
and data. In ARM two instructions sets present. They are 32-bit ARM and 16bit thumb instruction set. Thumb instruction set is a subset of the most
commonly used 32-bit ARM instruction set.
RFID MODULE
RFID stands for radio frequency identification. This is used to read the
identification number in RFID Tags, sends data regarding to the ID number
serially through UART.
