Direct discrimination … is when a person or group experience outright,
targeted discrimination.
Example: The Stephen Lawrence family experienced an extreme case direct
discrimination. Stephen was targeted by white youth in a racist attack and
lost his life.
Indirect discrimination… is when an individual or group is treated unfairly
but in a way that is hard to pinpoint. You want to say they are being
discriminated against but it is hard to prove.

because they come from that group.
