Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Namaskar,
The year 2020 has seen some unprecedented events. The entire human race was attacked by an
unknown and exampled enemy. The enemy disguised by the name Corona was so fierce that it caused
havoc and despoliation wherever it went. However, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
With their backs to the wall the entire Homo sapiens race fought back. The VKV family in this hour of
great crisis has shown exemplary courage and determination and with the blessings of Thakur Sri
Ramakrishna, Maa Sarada Devi and Swamiji we are slowly but surely returning back to normalcy. But
we should not let our guards down any time. These difficult times have taught us to explore new
horizons which otherwise would not have been traversed under ordinary circumstances. Numerous
activities were conducted during the year using different unique techniques. Some of the glimpses

E Construction and repairing activities
VKV Jairampur with the help of scrap bricks
made footpaths from road to new generator
room and from water tank to mess. The
Vidyalaya also cleaned the well and completed
sand water filter.
By capitalizing on the opportunity of having some extra time in hand, Principals, Teachers
and Grade IV Bhaiyyas of different VKVs did many innovative and constructive works.

EMRS Bana apart from gardening painted the old quarters along with the boundary
walls of the buildings. They also cleaned the guest quarters and fenced the
quarantine centers.

12. State Level NHPC Painting Competition
The top 3 positions of the State Level NHPC positions were grabbed by
students from VKV Nirjuli. The name of the winners in the order of merit is as

13. Km. Kritika Barman of IX (A) from VKV Vivek Vihar
School took part in the poster making contest
conducted by Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Nivedita
Vidyamandir, Kolkata and secured 3rd prize (cash award
of Rs.5000/- and merit certificate) in the senior category
in National level. More than seven hundred Schools from
various states participated in the contest.
A virtual exhibition on Artistic and Architectural Heritage
of Rashtrapati Bhavan, was organized by the Virtual
Museum of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The aim was to encourage
the students to actively engage and respond to the iconic
Rashtrapati Bhavan, the home of the president of India.
The painting of Kr. Debarga Nath, Class X, VKV Nirjuli; was
selected and is displayed in the website of the museum.

E Some other Achievements
On the occasion of 158th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Ashram
Rajkot conducted an online elocution competition in December 2020 in Global Level.
Students of 25 states in India as well as 6 other countries across the globe participated in the
competition. Kumari Hiya Bharadwaj, Class X of VKV Wessang, Arunachal Pradesh has
secured the First position in the Elocution Competition on the topic "Be fearless and face
difficulties".
Vkv Changlang got second position in street play competition on Drug Abuse which was
organised by District Administration Changlang on 24th January 2021, Sunday at 9am
onwards.
On 30th November 2020, Changlang science community hub organized science exhibition
program followed by science model making competition, thinking design and sessions on
innovation in science.
VKV Changlang also participated with two of students from class viii, and presented the
model of SOLAR ROOFED HOUSE where VKV Changlang stood first. Certificates and writing

Information and Communication Technology Training
The corona pandemic has made us to devise new strategies of imparting knowledge to the
students. In many of the schools workshops were organized to offer opportunity to excel
professionally to excel in ICT. The emphasis was on ‘Google Classroom’ and ‘Google meet’,
their benefits and strategies in a harmonized way for creating a better e-learning platform
for the students. In many of the schools basic computer knowledge was imparted on
teachers who have problem in handling computers.
16. Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur organized an essay and quiz

Notable Achievement
Km Punyo Sunya class XI of our Vidyalaya ( VKV Nirjuli) got selected to
participate in the Honorable Prime Ministers live programme Pariksha pe
Charcha. The team from Delhi reached the school on 28th March 2021 by
12:30pm to have an interview with the student.

Dr Manaya Mena alumni of the

22. Smt. Sriparna Tamhane, an Educationalist, Teacher Trainer visited VKV Raga, VKV Joram, VKV Ziro, VKV
Jirdin and VKV Kharsang.

On 28th March 2021, a blood donation camp was organized by the NSS unit of Vivekananda
Kendra College of Teacher Education (VKCTE) in collaboration with the blood bank of
TRIHMS under the guidance of Dr. Tashi Paleng. Dr. V. N. Sharma, V C, Arunadaya University
was the Chief Guest and Dr. A.K. Mishra, SLO, NSS was the Guest of Honor of the program.
The program started at 10:00 am at VKCTE multi-purpose hall. After the facilitation
program, blood donation was started from 11:00 am onwards. Total 125 number of
individuals registered out of which 25 participants willingly donated their blood with great

24. Innovative measures used to pep up online learning
During the lockdown period Mananeeya Bhanudasji, General Secretary, VRM &
VK, sent set of questions along with answer keys based on Math & Science. The
activity kept both the students & teachers updated. Parents have highly
appreciated this activity.
Teachers in different VKVs have tried to impart education through innovative
measures. Some have started online classes. The places where there are issues
with network connectivity, created Whatsapp groups and sent study materials
to the students. They regularly interacted with the students and tried to solve
all their queries.

formally welcomed all the teachers & urged them to seek guidance for online classes and

Sri Mahendra Karkare, Educator and subject expert
conducted an online mathematics workshop for the
respective teachers’. There were 21 sessions in which
around 25 participants per session attended the
sessions. It began on 2nd November 2021 and continued
till 13th January 2021.
In this workshop a teacher could experience what and
how to deal with any topic. A teacher experienced
constructivism in learning mathematics and also got to
know about competency base learning. The workshop
gave an insight of making mathematics class a joyful one.
