doing nothing didnβt seem to help the problem so he decided that he
would visit Sparta, asking anold friend to help theproblem of the
situation.Telemachusthengot his his ship and he sailed right awayto
Sparta.Bythetimehe got there, the king had met him and ordered a feast
right away.TheFeast had held food and music wasflowing in the air.
Everyone was in the feast that hold held the juicy, fat covered chicken
and ateit with their own hands, and drank grapewine. After that,
everyone had greeted Telemachusand talked upon him on his great
victorywith the defeat of the suitors.King Menelaushimselfwas proud
for his victory.
βSo Telemachus, son of Odysseus, what brings you here in Sparta? It has
been awhilesince we had visited but I am glad to see you.β said King

βKing Menelaus, I am here to visit you. Ever since the battlewith the
suitors, I do not know what to do with my father. With nothing todo, I
decided to visit you to see if you cangive me advice.β said Telemachus.
King Menelaus thought about thisfor a while and then he talked. βI
thinkyou have alreadyknown theanswer to that questions. Your father
was clever enough to get backhome, wasnβt he? Theonly waythat you
could help this problem if you hold and fight with Odysseusβ sword.β
Telemachushad thought about theidea and he thanked the king of
Sparta and he went and got his boat and sailed out into the sea the
oppositeway of Ithaca and out to the sea.
Poseidon Palace
Poseidonwas still mad at Odysseus and wanted revenge on him. He
watched Odysseus at Ithaca ashe waswith hiswife. He couldn't believe
that Odysseus was ableto get past through thepower. And being a sea
god, he had power at everything in the sea. But he knew that theFate has
let Odysseus survive thisbattle.Hisson however has no Fatesaying he
will live.
βI will makeyou suffer Odysseus!β yelled Poseidon.
2. Back in the sea
Telemachuswasout in the sea. He could smell the salt water and the air
was cool. As he looked out at what was in front of him, he saw noticed
something was green. As he looked closer, he saw it wascoming close to
him. Then when he looked close enough, he saw a greenmonster.
βAlmightyZeus!βsaid Telemachus. And thenthe monster camedown
and started wrecking hisship. Telemachushad tojump out of the sea
before the monster could have done anything and he watched inhorror
as the monster went and charged toward him and thenhe wasknocked
out.
Later, Telemachuswas at the end of the sea, his eye open and the sun was
shining his eye. The sun was too bright for him then he looked again. He
stood up and he looked around. His clotheswere ripped and his ship was
a wrecked boat. He wondered where he was and then he saw a rocky cliff
and he climbed it. As he had started climbed thecliff, every sweat in his
head had went to the ground. He had looked out in the sun to see where
the sun was going. βDawn.β, he thought inhis head.
By the timehe was up in the cliff, he was alreadytired and wanted to go
takea nap. But he knew that he had to continue walking and he saw a
forest and went right in. He wasvery hungrybut didnβt see any animal.
Then Hermes appeared out of nowhere and he flew toward Telemachus.
Telemachuswasa bit scared at first but then Hermestalked.
βTelemachus, donot be afraid for Iβm Hermes, Messenger of Zeus. And
Iβm here to help youβ said Hermes.
Telemachusstarted torun then he got himselfin control and asked, βSo
who is the sea creature?β Hermesanswered, βThesea creatureitselfwas
Cetus, the creaturethat Perseushad turned intostone.β Telemachuswas
a bit surprised at first but then he keep asking questions.βSoifthe Cetus
had been turnintostone, who turnit backto not stone?βsaid
Telemachus.
βPoseidonhimself did while your father have been returning homeand
he wanting to sent to your father but Athena stop him before he could do
it.β said Hermes.
βSo where should I go?βsaid Telemachus.
3. βTelemachus, you should go out intothe sea. There, Zeus will help you to
defeat the Cetus. You will then when Poseidonhad sent you huge waves,
you should be in King Aeolus Island. Whenyou arethere, ask for help. If
he wonβt help you, Zeus will fix him up. When King Aeolus helps you,
sail to Ithaca. After that wedo not know.βsaid Hermes. And Telemachus
thanked Hermes and Hermes went and he zoomed in theair and he had
went away. His stomach wasgrowling for food and he went to the river
to catch somefish. He caught thefish and he atein the fire. Later, he
went to get himself ready to swim to the ocean. By the timeit was
alreadynight. With hisstrength, he went to swim out in the sea.
Poseidonmust have known that Telemachushasescaped out of the
island for the water wasvery rocky and pushing him back. But the gods
must have given Telemachusstrength for he was able to swim past the
waves. Then theCetus had comeagainand this timewasdetermined not
to fail to eat Telemachus. TheCetus then went and charged forward at
him. Thatβswhen a lightning bolt cameout of the sky and smoked the
Cetus. And then Telemachuscouldnβt see anything after thehuge wave
had crashed him.
Later, Telemachuswoke up and he saw a bronze fort near the mountain
side. He had walked toward it and then he saw a waterfalland he try to
drinkit but he couldnβt, for the water did not reach to his hand and then
the waterfalltalked.
βWhois in my Island, nameyourself before I kickyou out of here!β
Telemachusflinched a bit but then he said, βKing Aeolus God of all
winds, I am Telemachus, and Iβm here on one business, I am here for you
to give me a ship.β
βTelemachus, you arethe son of Odysseus, yes?βsaid King Aeolus
βYes, I am the son of Odysseus, why?βsaid Telemachus.
βThen I wonβt help you. And you better get out of my Island before I go
and wipeyou out.β
The sky then rumbled and then someone said in a deep voiceβKing
Aeolus, It is me, Zeus, Leader of all the Olympiansand son to Kronos,You
will give him a boat by my order. If not, thiswill not end well for you. β
King Aeolus scared by thisthreat, went on to the sea and summoned a
boat right away.
4. βHere you go Telemachus.βsaid King Aeolusas he shivered. Telemachus
then went on to his boat and sail away. Out in the sea, Poseidon,
determined todefeat him once in for all had rise out of the sea and
Poseidonstood out as tall as a mountainand he saidβ Odysseus, I will
have my revenge!β And he used his trident tocrash down the boat.
Poseidonhad missed but water had splashed over Telemachusand
Poseidonwent missing, he tried to strikeagain. Telemachus, turning the
boat around Poseidon, He had escaped Poseidonand he had sailed away.
After that day, he went with his boat and sailed along that day. By the
timeit was the end of the week, he had alreadygottenbackto Ithaca and
was with his family.Hisparents werevery glad to see him. Of coursehis
mom would say something like this.

journey.β
