The concept of non-aided engineering college
was put forth by Padmashri Shri. Vasantdada
Patil in 1983. The vision, untiring efforts,
multidimensional thinking of a humble farmer,
freedom fighter, social worker and the doyen
of co-operative movement Sahakarmaharshi
Shri. Bhausaheb Santuji Thorat alias Dada laid
the foundation of “Amrutvahini Sheti &
Shikshan Vikas Sanstha” in 1978 at Sangamner.
An altruistic vision and aspiration of Dada was
to start and propagate the higher technical
education to the students of rural area and
create long lasting imprints of Sangamner.
Over the years, Amrutvahini Sheti and

OUR DYNAMIC
LEADERSHIP
Hon Shri. Balasaheb Thorat (MLA)
President
Amrutvahini Sheti and Shikshan Vikas Sanstha,
Amrutnagar, Sangamner
Ex-Minister for Revenue & Khar Land,
Government of Maharashtra
The Hon President took upon himself the
arduous task of translating the vision of Hon.
Bhausaheb Thorat into concrete realities by
imbibing the virtue of hard owrk and honesty
to achieve excellence in the sphere of
education through his dynamic and pragmatic
leadership. It is under his able guidance that

Happiness, satisfaction and success in life depends on making
the right choices, the winning choices.
There are forces in life working for you and against you.
One must distinguish the beneficial forces from the malevalent ones
and choose correctly between them.

‘Success comes to those, who work hard and
stays with those who don’t rest on the laurels
ofthepast.’
Amrutvahini College of Engineering has been
an ideal example of success and sustenance.
The college has been instrumental in shaping
up the careers of thousands of students for the
last33years.
In this journey, we have surged ahead and in
the quest for perfection we are striving hard to
accomplish our mission of serving society
especially the rural section of India. We have
been committed to quality teaching-learning
process as well as an all-round discipline of the
students. We have provided the-state-of-the-
art laboratories and even language labs. Apart
from the academics, we are always on our toes
to transform our students into well-cultured
humanbeings.
Theyoughttobecapableoffacingthegrowing
challengesoftheglobalizedworld.
Our efforts seemed to be acknowledged when
AVCOE bagged the ‘Best College Award
(Professional-Rural)’ by S.P.P.U. in 2009. The
college has also earned itself the distinction of
being Twentieth among the Top Emerging
EngineeringcollegesinIndia.
The lines by David Bailey are quite apt here:
“We live in deeds, not years:
In thoughts not breaths; In feelings, not in figure on a dial.
He most lives Who thinks most, feels the noblest, acts the best.”

Sangamner
In the late seventies, the rural area of
Sangamner was suffering from poverty,
illiteracy, drought & unemployment. The root
cause of all these evils was rightly identified by
Hon. Late Bhausaheb Thorat, a leader of co-
operative movement, a great visionary and
philanthropist. He converted his thoughts into
actions by creating educational and training
facilities. For this, he founded the ASSVS in
1978 to provide education to the poor and
socially backward people and ultimately
boosted the socio-economic progress of the
rural people. The Sanstha runs th following
educationalintstitutions:
A chain of institutions has made
an impact on Sangamner
Township, giving it an urban
look. Under the dynamic and
pragmatic leadership of Hon.
Minister Shri Balasaheb Thorat
the management is working out

Bhausaheb Santuji Thorat Founder Amrutvahini Sheti and Shikshan Vikas Sanstha, Amrutnagar, Sangamner The concept of non-aided engineering college was put forth by Padmashri Shri. Vasantdada Patil in 1983. The vision, untiring efforts, multidimensional thinking of a humble farmer, freedom fighter, social worker and the doyen of co-operative movement Sahakarmaharshi Shri. Bhausaheb Santuji Thorat alias Dada laid the foundation of “Amrutvahini Sheti & Shikshan Vikas Sanstha” in 1978 at Sangamner. An altruistic vision and aspiration of Dada was to start and propagate the higher technical education to the students of rural area and create long lasting imprints of Sangamner. With his dynamic and versatile personality, he has been a mentor to the poor and socially backward people. He has also been acting as a strong guiding force to this college. Bhausaheb Thorat into concrete realities by imbibing the virtue of hard owrk and honesty to achieve excellence in the sphere of education through his dynamic and pragmatic leadership. It is under his able guidance that the college has expanded its horizons and achieved the distinction of being rated as the ‘Best College Award’ by the prestigious Savitribai Phule Pune University along with othercredentials. Happiness, satisfaction and success in life depends on making the right choices, the winning choices. There are forces in life working for you and against you. One must distinguish the beneficial forces from the malevalent ones and choose correctly between them.
  • 4. AMRUTVAHINI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING 04 THE CAPTAIN OF THE SHIP Prof. A. K. Mishra I/C Principal M.E. (Design) ‘Success comes to those, who work hard and stays with those who don’t rest on the laurels ofthepast.’ Amrutvahini College of Engineering has been an ideal example of success and sustenance. The college has been instrumental in shaping up the careers of thousands of students for the last33years. In this journey, we have surged ahead and in the quest for perfection we are striving hard to accomplish our mission of serving society especially the rural section of India. We have been committed to quality teaching-learning process as well as an all-round discipline of the students. We have provided the-state-of-the- art laboratories and even language labs. Apart from the academics, we are always on our toes to transform our students into well-cultured humanbeings. Theyoughttobecapableoffacingthegrowing challengesoftheglobalizedworld. Our efforts seemed to be acknowledged when AVCOE bagged the ‘Best College Award (Professional-Rural)’ by S.P.P.U. in 2009. The college has also earned itself the distinction of being Twentieth among the Top Emerging EngineeringcollegesinIndia. The lines by David Bailey are quite apt here: “We live in deeds, not years: In thoughts not breaths; In feelings, not in figure on a dial. He most lives Who thinks most, feels the noblest, acts the best.” AMRUTVAHINI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING 05 Amrutvahini Sheti and Shikshan Vikas Sanstha (ASSVS) Sangamner In the late seventies, the rural area of Sangamner was suffering from poverty, illiteracy, drought & unemployment. The root cause of all these evils was rightly identified by Hon. Late Bhausaheb Thorat, a leader of co- operative movement, a great visionary and philanthropist. He converted his thoughts into actions by creating educational and training facilities. For this, he founded the ASSVS in 1978 to provide education to the poor and socially backward people and ultimately boosted the socio-economic progress of the rural people. The Sanstha runs th following educationalintstitutions: A chain of institutions has made an impact on Sangamner Township, giving it an urban look. Under the dynamic and pragmatic leadership of Hon.
