2. Summer is kids’ favorite season: it’s time to leave home and enjoy the days under the
sun with friends and family. That’s why one of the most important Nickelodeon events in
Brazil is VERÃO NICK!
For over a decade, our viewers know that in January they can live an unforgettable
experience with Nick and its characters.
3. This year we took the orange world of Nickelodeon to the big city. And,
for the first time, the channel’s most famous character was the star of
the summer: SPONGEBOB and his friends invited kids to jump aboard
their pirate ship taking them through an awesome, adventurous – and
very hot! – summer.
4. The event took place outside CATAVENTO CULTURAL, Brazil’s most
visited museum. Located in the heart of São Paulo, the building
was built in 1911 and has been already used as City Hall. Aimed
at children and their families, Catavento teaches a little bit about
everything in our universe: from animals to the stars – and , of
course, life under the sea.
VERÃO NICK was opened from Jan 8th to 25th, from Tuesdays to
Sundays, from 9am to 5pm.
5. VERÃO NICK BOB ESPONJA was a huge success! More than
17 THOUSAND KIDS enjoyed their summer with
SpongeBob.
In total, almost 40 THOUSAND PEOPLE passed by the
arena and, during the event, Catavento broke their record
of visitors per day - twice. On the last Saturday of VERÃO
NICK, 7 THOUSAND PEOPLE visited the museum (before
VERÃO NICK, the record was 5 thousand).
Considering those who enjoyed the arena and those who
just visited the museum, the NICKELODEON brand was
exposed to almost 60 THOUSAND PEOPLE.

10. To get inside VERÃO NICK people just needed to
look out for our fun Nickelodeon team at the
entrance. Kids could only participate in the
activities with the Nick stamp on their hands.
11.
12. Every kid wanted to go inside the pirate ship! It was VERÃO NICK’s main attraction
where many activities took place during the 3-week event.
13. SpongeBob is not the only one who can make hamburgers. Kids showed they can also
be amazing chefs – but using play dough instead of real ingredients.
14. At a Nickelodeon event, there’s something that cannot be left out: slime! And at VERÃO
NICK BOB ESPONJA, it wasn’t any different: kids tested their fishing capabilities on a
tank filled with the irresistible green goo.
15. Children also learned that they cannot pollute the ocean. With the help of a fishing
rod, they took bottles and cans out of the sea and threw them where they really
belong: recycling bins.
16.
17. A valuable treasure was taken to VERÃO NICK BOB ESPONJA! Four treasure chests
were filled with amazing SpongeBob prizes and, twice a day, four teams had to find
and interpret clues that would lead them to the key that opened one of the chests.
18.
19. Kids with good aim also had fun at VERÃO. The goal was to hit characters with a
Nickelodeon ball so they could win SpongeBob prizes.
20.
21. SpongeBob and Plankton were in a battle to see who would get the secret Krabby
Patty recipe. The game put kids to run and protect this valuable treasure, in a
customized game of ‘capture the flag’ to promote the new SpongeBob movie.

23. During the event’s last week, Paramount
Pictures built an exclusive photo booth to
promote the movie SpongeBob: A Hero
Out of Water. All participants wanted to
take pictures home as a souvenir!

25. Kids that wanted something a bit
more radical weren’t left out.
Mattel built a 13-feet climbing
wall and also used their space at
the event to promote their
products – Imaginext and Polly.

27. Once a week SpongeBob himself showed up at VERÃO NICK together with his loyal
friend Patrick Star. People formed huge lines every time the characters appeared: no
one wanted to go back home without a picture right next to the Nickelodeon stars.
28.
29. The arena had lots of photo
opportunities for kids (and grown-
ups too!). From panels with
characters’ faces to their pirate
versions inside the ship, plus the
incredible ‘stone’ SpongeBob
produced for Meus Prêmios Nick
2014. Nobody went to VERÃO
NICK BOB ESPONJA and leave
without taking pictures.
30.
31. SpongeBob fans were tested everyday during VERÃO. Throughout the day, our team
asked them different questions about the character and his friends. Right answers
meant SpongeBob prizes!
32. No one stood still at VERÃO NICK BOB ESPONJA. Even under the sun, kids and their
families learned choreographies to many fun songs taught by the Nick team.
33.
34. It was hard to keep up with the kids, especially in the heat – that’s why we prepared a
special area where parents could rest and wait for their children, where water was
served from customized gallons that resembled SpongeBob’s house.
35.
36. VERÃO NICK was sponsored by Paramount Pictures, Mattel and
Ri Happy.
Besides ads placed in between Nick’s programming, all of them
had the opportunity to activate in the arena and had their
logos on flags, fences and inside the parents’ area.
Paramount used their space to promote the movie SpongeBob:
A Hero Out of Water, while Mattel showcased their Polly and
Imaginext lines – including a SpongeBob series.
37.
38. VERÃO NICK received the support of Consumer Products’ clients, who provided products
which were given away as prizes throughout the 3-week event.
39.
40. We also distributed tickets to Catavento
and to the movie SpongeBob: A Hero Out
of Water.

44.
45. VERÃO website brought lots of content to kids.
Besides information about the event, it also had
photo galleries, games, fun facts about the sea
world and pirates. They could also watch the
trailer for the new SpongeBob movie and even
create their own pirate avatar.
46. The event was also promoted by Nick online
partners: UOL and ClickJogos.
47. Lots of people who went to VERÃO
NICK shared their moments over there
with friends and family on Facebook
and Instagram. Pictures using the
hashtag #VerãoNick were
automatically posted on the event’s
website.
