This document summarizes the re-engineering of raw material filling processes at Sokhi Steels Private Limited in Ludhiana, India. It describes the company's manufacturing infrastructure and products. It then discusses problems with existing raw material filling methods and proposes four models for a new automated system using tracks, trolleys, and hydraulic actuators to move a raw material holder between induction furnaces, allowing gravity to guide filling in a safer, more efficient process.

9. PROBLEM INDENTIFICATION
While Filling the raw material inside the
furnace they were using conventional method:
While filling the raw material inside the furnace
they were pushing raw material with the help of
hands which is very hazardous for human being.
So, I have thought why can’t we install a
mechanism so that it automatically pushes the raw
material inside the furnace.
10. First model:
First model I have designed In this design we have
found one problem while tilting the furnace Raw
material holder is stopping the furnace to tilt and
another problem is we need to fill raw material for
two furnaces not for one furnace in this figure there
is only one furnace.

11. 2 Second model:
After designing the first model, I have proposed to the
chairman of sokhi industries he has given one suggestion
whatever the raw material we are feeding with the help of raw
material holder it should be at an certain angle so that we can
use the gravity effect. so we placed the raw material holder at
an certain angle there another problem here if we are placing
holder at certain angle why because we need pull aside the raw
material holder after filling the raw material inside the furnace
so I have placed track and I have made trolley kind of
arrangement for raw material holder so that the raw material
holder can move TO AND FRO MOTION up on the track so
that we can able to fill the raw material in two furnaces with
the help of one raw material holder but here another problem
when raw material holder moving at an angle track it can’t
able balance stably.
