Konstantinos Fykas is a Greek Paralympic swimmer who has won 5 Paralympic medals including 2 gold medals between 1996 and 2004. He holds five world records in 50m and 100m front crawl swimming. As the standard bearer at the 2004 Athens Paralympics opening ceremony, he won two more silver medals and set European records. Although he participated in four Paralympics between 1996 and 2008, he was unfairly pulled from the semi-finals in Beijing in 2008. Today, Fykas is a doctor who works in the Greek Ministry of Transport.
