activities are streamlined and made as per certain standards the

organization needs to accomplish its future

CMM: It is a model that aims to improve
existing software-development processes At
maturity level 5, processes are concerned
with addressing statistical common
causes of process variation and changing
the process to improve process
performance. It describe how well the
behaviors, practices and processes of any
company can consistently and sustainably
produce required outcomes.
5. Policy at Wipro
All policy related document of wipro are uploaded on the Wipro portal
known as “mywipro”.
All personal details of employee are stored at the portal and HR could
see them whenever required. Employee can edit some of the
information on the site. Some of the information like project details or
hierarchy map are non-editable.
Time Management i.e attendance of work hours could also be
uploaded and the portal has information about all these details.
Appraisal forms are also filled at portal which could be seen by
managers and HRs on submission.
Authorization for various different functional documents and options
are made available as per employees designation.
6. Standard Knowledge Management Process
at Wipro
Wipro has a Knowledge management portal as a standard of best
practice to ensure seamless knowledge flow within organization.
Employee can refer to the knowledge objects in the form of documents
available at the site and could also get any kind of clarification if
required at the serviceConnect portal.
ServiceConnect is the mini portal where employees can post their
query regarding any policy or issues. It is a bridge between different
functional departments of the organization.
Requests for leave, Stationeries, travel could be done at mywipro portal
which is accessible by employees by their employee id credentials.
7. Standard Knowledge Management Process
at Wipro
Knowledge Management is done in Wipro through online portal
known as Knet where employees could share their articles and it is
made accessible to all other employees who wishes to refer.
Knet also has online courses for study purpose for Wipro’s Internal
Assessment.
It also has information about tests undertaken by employee and option
to apply for any certification.

for War rooms which is a virtual workspace. Training and simulations
are done through this for task bound and time bound activities.
Repository of common software : Wipro Being an IT company
requires lots of software which is made available for download on site.
In case of any specific software tool which is not available on site, a
separate request could be raised.
Question Box : People can post their functional queries which could
be solved by other employees.
ChannelW : It is a interactive part of portal which sometimes acts as
Yellow Pages of Wipro. Employees can post their advertisements and
could reach out to then via email or call.
