2. It was a weird Sunday morning for Aurora; she was
feeling completely blue, unmotivated and sad. Her
loft was a mess; everything there was untidy and
the whole energy from that place was thick and
obscure.
It is said that energy comes in limited quantities; it
waxes and wanes, and it grows or diminishes based
on what you are doing and who you are surrounded
by. So, What did Aurora´s energy say that day?
Big flies were flying around her stinky kitchen.
Just by staring at the entrance of the place you
could smell loneliness and desires of death.
Aurora was doing nothing at her place when she
suddenly had a call from her deep and quite lust
and she decided to run away to her childhood
family cottage. When she arrived, she found an old
bottle of wine that her father had left in the dusty
cupboard before his death. Now the story begins.
3. Aurora: Oh, what a tasty wine! it is delicious. All the time it had been on
the darkness has worth. Its flavor became intense. How could the
darkness turn something into a better version of itself? How silence,
loneliness and dust´s features could be intensified? I have been hidden for
26 years now, and I have just understood that I don’t have any possibility
to be found by anybody, as I have found this bloody liquor of my insolence.
She looks her pale face in her death mother’s wooden mirror, giving a kiss
to her glass of wine.
Aurora: Stupid anguish, stupid shadow that turn my dreams into an
oasis. You, yes you! What are you looking at? Are you laughing at my
insane desire to find you? Honestly, are you there? No, of course not, you
only see me everyday with the same frozen expression and silence. Your
bags and your fake aspect irritate me. Why don’t you let me love someone?
Why don’t you let me live my life without fear?
4. Consciousness: To love someone?, please Why do you blame me for? Don’t
you understand that only you are the one who hurts yourself every single
moment? Can´t you realize that you are your own shadow? Mist starts in
you heart and the sunlight is in your pocket, but your pride and self-
satisfaction doesn’t allow you. Remember those days in which everything
used to bright, Aurora..
The eyes of Aurora seem to stare at nowhere; through the glass, the eyes
of Consciousness were more alive than ever.
Aurora: There are people, places and things that make me feel like if I
were building my own energy stores, that make me feel younger, and help
me doing my best work and efforts in life. At the same time, there are also
people and places that take my energy away; without even realizing of it
because we all tend to be on a background full of chaos, and then I have
no energy left to canal those negative energies away.
5. Consciousness: Your feelings express only a kind of happiness
that you hadn’t found yet.. Maybe you need to work some more
in your anxious manner and discover what kind of happiness
do you want? I have been looking for you during many years,
and you only see your failures and your sad past. Why do you
want to live in a fake life wearing this red hair and hidden
tattoos under your business attire? Is it just because you want
a job and be in charge? Please, stop running, stop being like a
black kite among the storm.
I can only suggest you to look beyond your eyes and through
your own picture you see reflected on the mirror.
Aurora: Ah! Are you a poet now? (sarcastic intonation)
Consciousness: Please, I think that this mixture of your
nihilism and hedonism is driving you crazy.
6. Aurora: Don’t you see my broken heart?, you are always
underestimating my own reflection; besides, you never stop making
fun of me.
Consciousness: Oh Aurora, Recognize that you are always satisfying
your desires no matter the consequences. Remember that you live
for someone else's expectations. Most of the time you are trying to
pretend to be another person.
There will be no men who will ever choose you with that attitude.
Aurora: (crying furiously) You are the only one who can see through
me and understand me! at least give me a key and guide me now.
Please, give me what I need right now to be happy and forget my
fake illusions!, I don’t want to make more sandcastles in the air
anymore.
Consciousness: A key?
7. Suddenly, she ran away from the bedroom and in a blink of an eye she
was in the garden. Then she jumped into the lake which brightened
beautifully and calmly that evening, as if nothing was going to happen.
She dipped her head for some minutes and she lost her consciousness into
the profundity of the obscure green water.
That was a moment in which she seemed to die. Everything was in silent.
She was tangled into seaweeds. Her eyes were staring at nowhere, but in
direction to the sky. She realized that she was into the water. Mind blank,
with her soul empty and with a tired breathing, she decided not to die and
swam to the lakeside, looking for hope. -The brightness of her eyes showed
me that she wasn't Aurora anymore.
The pouring rain started to wet her pale face with no mercy. However, she
wasn’t sad. She enjoyed every little drop. She liked the landscape, colors,
the wind that passed through her delicate dirty dress, touching her soft
and thin legs.
8. She arrived to her cottage and looked for a new cup of wine. She picked
the glasses up and cleaned the living room, avoiding to look the defiant
mirror again. Aurora knew that she was different now.
On the old main table there was her mother’s favorite Elvis old vinyl. She
walked smoothly to the turntable and Elvis started to sing. Aurora
changed her wet clothes and took a hot shower. The longest shower of her
life.
Suddenly she heard her own voice singing happily and she felt a weird
fullness that overran her spirit. When she finished, she opened every
window and door. The breeze and the smell of flowers adorned and
painted her lips... And a beautiful smile appeared in her face.
Consciousness had returned.
