Square is large. It is 500
metres in length.
• Red Square is the place
for parades.

3. St.Basil’s Cathedral
in Red Square is a
masterpiece of
Russian
architecture.

4. In front of it there
is a monument to
the Russian
national heroes
Kuzma Minin and
Dmitri Pozharski.

5. • By the Kremlin wall
there is the
Mausoleum.
• To the left of the
Mausoleum you can see
the Spasskaya Tower
(the tallest tower here).
It is the symbol of the
Kremlin.

6. • The country’s largest
shop GUM is opposite
the Kremlin in Red
Square.
• The State History
Museum is situated
opposite St. Basil’s
Cathedral.
The Kremlin is one of the
best places to visit.
