This two-day dual sport motorcycle event takes place near Yosemite National Park and includes approximately 100 miles of scenic and historic riding routes each day. Riders can choose between "hard" and "easy" routes, with options for both experienced riders seeking a challenge and beginners. The event is held on September 28-29, 2013 and registration costs $109-$119, depending on AMA membership status. Riders must provide their own street-legal dual sport motorcycle and safety gear.

Event Description:
This AMA Sanctioned dual sport event held at the gateway to Yosemite National Park, Buck Meadows California is a
two day, GPS based, self-guided adventure including scenic & historic destinations in and around Yosemite National
Park and the Stanislaus National Forest. Paved and unpaved roads with options of “hard” & “easy” splits, give you
approx. 100 miles of fun each day! “Easy” splits are perfect for beginner riders and large adventure bikes.
Experienced riders are challenged by the “hard” splits. All routes are approximately 85% dirt. Event operated under
permit from the Stanislaus National Forest. This event caters to ALL street legal dual sport motorcycles.

Registration Fee:
Registration for this event is $109 per person for AMA member and $119 for non-AMA members. One day
tickets are $69 for AMA members or $79 for non-AMA members. Passengers are half-price. Late registration begins
September 2nd
, add $31.00. Registration limited to 150 riders.

Directions:
[GPS: N37 48.926 W120 03.765] From Highway 99 or Interstate 5 take the Highway 120 exit East towards Yosemite.
Stay on Highway 120 for about 65 miles till you arrive in the town of Groveland. Buck Meadows is a small
community 11 miles East of Groveland, towards Yosemite, on Highway 120.
Amenities:
Lodging is available at the Yosemite Ridge Resort http://www.yosemiteridge.com/ (800-706-3009) which provides
cabins, spaces with full RV hookups and local dining. The “Yosemite Westgate Motel” is also in Buck Meadows and
the “Lost Claim” campground is nearby. Additional accommodations are available in Groveland.
Walk-Up Registrations / Staging Location:
Walk-up registration is available Friday at 5pm and resumes at 7:45am Saturday. Booth & staging location is on the
grass next to the general store and fuel pumps in Buck Meadows. There is a limit of 100 riders so get your
registration turned in early.
Fundraiser BBQ & Raffle:
BBQ & raffle on Saturday at 7pm. Thousands of $ in gear, parts & apparel to win! Food, Prizes & Fun! BBQ tickets
on-line for $24 or $30 at the door. BBQ funds benefit the Sports Club of San Joaquin County which helps those with
special needs enjoy the outdoors. Raffle funds donated to Blue Ribbon Coalition.
GPS Routing:
Bring your GPS!!! A download of routes, waypoints & destination will be emailed out the week before the event. If
registering at the event, bring your GPS download cable.
Scenic Rides:
THIS IS NOT A RACE!!! This is a fun, EZ-to-follow, on/off-road, leisurely, scenic and historic trip through parts of the
beautiful Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite National Park. In case routes or destinations are closed alternate
destinations and routes will be selected.
Motorcycle Requirements:
Open to all street-legal motorcycles regardless of or make or model. All motorcycles must meet the following
requirements. Failure to meet all requirements will result in a refund and being asked to leave the event.
Quiet muffler with a spark arrester is mandatory and only helps our sport. Nothing above 94db!
Must be street legal with all required lighting, licensing, registration and insurance.
You will need to be able to go at least 75 miles on a tank of gas.
Other Information:
Destinations and routes are recommendations. The Yosemite area has SO MUCH to offer that you should
not limit your experience. Destinations and routes have been examined by our staff and deemed appropriate
for this event.
GPS downloads are an accurate representation of the route and include additional waypoints at various
locations of historical and scenic interest.
