Working Experience
March 2007-Febuary 2009: UPS ShanghaiPudong Airport Hub, Operation
Department, Senior Team Leader:
Leading a 50-member operation team and EDI department, managing
daily logistics and customs clearance for the SAG (Strategy Accounts
Group, including Apple, IBM, Samsung, Lenovo, Panasonic).
In charge of running the airport hub in holidays. Duties included
planning workloads , arranging logistics;handling documents;
monitoring operation processes; collecting and analysing performance
data; reporting to different levels of management within the company
and keeping stakeholder’s (customers, other related centre
management, regional management and headquarter etc.) up-to-date.
As part of Apple’s strategic supply chain, successfully support 2006
IPhone and IMac launching, in China and North America.
As the Official Logistics and Express Delivery Sponsor of Beijing
Olympic 2008, our team successfully delivered over 5 million items with
a zero-accident operation rate; receiving, storing and delivering the
equipment and support materials for the game; managing logistics
services for over 120 Olympic venues.
October 2005-February 2007: UPS Shanghai, Operation Department, Data
Management:
Handling EDI customs clearancedata and documents; communicating
and working closely with local Customs, airplane companies, vendors,
OEMs and co-workers to fulfil daily operation efficiently and accurately.
Setting up and monitoring internal EDI standards for 12 East-China
operation centres, improving custom clearing speed significantly; and,
customs green-light rate from 99.1% - 99.7%.
Redesigning EDI declaration procedure, improvingaccurate rate from 1
return in 400 documents to 1 return in 700 documents.
Taking charge of EDI team within 6 month since joined UPS, being
responsible for daily data management and new staff training.
