2. The basics
● It is a broad proposal to use Astronomy, and its
interdisciplinary elements, as motivators to
arouse young people's interest for science in
general.
● Started in 2013 and focused on students and
teachers of Elementary and High School.
● Santo Antônio de Pádua/RJ : ~ 40.000 inhab.

1- continuing education course in
Astronomy, for school teachers;
2- workshop of Amateur Telescope
Making (11 telescopes);

3. mini-courses for the students about Astronomy and
other related subjects;
4. lectures related to Astronomy, to the general public;

5. Public screening and discussion of movies and docs;

6. visits to science museums and scientific institutions,
for teachers and students of primary and secondary
