- 2. Reduction of gastric acid secretion
(a) H2 antihistamine
Example :- cimetidine,rantidine etc
(b)PPIs (proton pump inhibitor):-
Example:-omeprazole,rabeprazole,pentoprazole
etc
(c)Anticholinergic:-
Example:- pirenzepine,propanthaline etc
(d)Prostaglandin analogue:-
Example:- misoprostol,enprostil etc
- 3. Systemic :-
Example:-sodium bicarbonate,sodium citrate
Non systemic (local ):-
Example :-Mg hydroxide,Mg trisilicate ,Al
hydroxide,gel,calcium carbonate
Ulcer protective:-
Example:-CBS(colloidal bismuth
subcitrate),sucralfate
