1. LEAN Implementation: Training and Coaching
To: MD, GM, Plant Manager
Your main focus is to optimize plant management, production
management, manufacturing and quality management. To
achieve true competitiveness your faced with expectations
from increase of sales, required cost reduction, quality
improvement and changes to the work environment.
To achieve overall competitiveness, you have to work
downstream and apply the full concept of LEAN
manufacturing as efficient as possible and provide
comprehensive training for your staff. However, challenges
remain:
• International trainers carry a very high cost and not all of
your staff understand English well.
• Local training courses are available but in many cases
the lessons are not applied in daily operations.
• Trainings turn out to be only theoretical updates.
By now, you might even be tired to train local Thai staff to
improve manufacturing effectiveness and feel that they might
not be ready for execute better manufacturing activities and
trainings that are unable to be applied are worth little to
nothing.
Please don’t give up. We can provide you with a good solution.
If you want to apply a practical LEAN Manufacturing concept
throughout your factory and departments with an expert
coach, that can related to Thai and foreign, English speaking
stafff on all levels, Dr. Chaiyant Savanachai can help you.
Dr. Chaiyant received a Bachelor Degree in
Engineering from KMITL (King Mongkut’s
Institute of Technology Ladkrabang), a
Master Degree in International Economics
from Temple University Japan, and a PhD in
Business Administration from American

enough for implementing it in their daily operations.
2. LEAN Implementation courses are divided into 2 stages: LEAN
for Shop Floor, and LEAN Sigma. Each Stage needs 30 hours
(5 days X 6 hrs.) training and coaching. The first stage is to train
and coach plant management level about the basics and
how to implement them to the shop floor for daily operations
to reduce cost and increase total quality yield. The second
stage is the intermediate level for the participants who passed
and understood well the concept of LEAN.
Training Course Phase 1: LEAN for Shop Floor
Unit 1: AM: LEAN and TPS Concept
PM: Workshop how to apply to current operation
Unit 2: AM: The 7 Wastes and how to eliminate them
PM: Workshop of identifying 7 wastes in the shop floor
Unit 3: AM: Kaizen Concept

The trainings are delivered by one or two units per week
because daily training would exhaust to the trainee, no time to
learn to apply the concepts and also the daily works would be
jeopardized. Trainings with too long spans between the units
would make trainees forget the contents and be equally
ineffective.
The first stage training (Unit 1 – 5) can be finished within 2.5
weeks or 5 weeks. Then, if selected, the second stage, which is
deeper and demanding on study and calculation, can be
done for intermediate level for another 2.5 weeks to 5 weeks,
or you can select only Unit 9 and 10.
The best way to reduce the cost and increase profitability is to
improve your staff’s capabilities and effectiveness.
